valentineBam Adebayo’s playstyle reminds me a lot of a Prime Dwight Howard, maybe a little quicker and a better free throw shooter (Obviously). Jonathon Issac is built like a Kevin Durant skinny and lanky, he has the shooting characteristics and the pull up form of him along with the amazing athleticism. I think that Lauri Markkanen is going to be a new and improved version of Ryan Anderson with like a foot extra in height. Tell me what you think and maybe more player comparisons.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantLauri Markkanen reminds of a better shooting porzingus that plays less defense

SlickBouncePassParticipantMarkkanen doesn’t play with the same energy and mobility as Dirk, won’t go there, Dirk is an all time great.
Markkanen is somewhere between Ryan Anderson and Kevin Love. His rebounding numbers are pretty poor but he can get out and guard at the perimeter if needed. Will struggle on defense just like Anderson and Love do.
Was listening to Bill Walton broadcast, he said we have to stop putting these players on a pedestal at a young age. When you compare them to "stars", compare their current game to greats like Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Then you see what you really have, and it’ll ground the player and his talents.
Don’t compare to each other, compare to all-time greats.
Isaac won’t be Kevin Durant, he can’t do as much with the ball at the explosiveness of a Durant. Fultz has displayed Harden potential. Monk shoots like a smaller Chris Mullin, through his legs, and his hops remind me of one Jordan.

SubZeroParticipantAs a Kentucky fan, I wouldn’t count on Bam becoming prime Dwight. His build and athleticism are comparable, but his defense isn’t nearly as good. Bam gets out of position constantly chasing blocks that are way out of reach and leaves his man to put it back in, that happened countless times with him and Wenyen against Tennessee and Kansas. If he can find some touch around the rim and at the line, and start making better decisions on defense then he can be good, but as of right now I wouldn’t call him Dwight

ChewyParticipantwas responisble for pretty much 100% of Landon Lucas’s points that game.

SubZeroParticipantIt’s so frustrating. I don’t know if Cal doesn’t see it or what but I don’t see how it’s gone on this long without it being addressed

losnopesosParticipantI’m a Lexington guy and a huge UK fan and Bam is a disappointment this season. In fact, I think he comes back for a second year. He’s not mean enough/ doesn’t make himself available in the post. I wish we had DMC again.

SubZeroParticipantOr have KAT back and see what he would do without Cal holding him back. The Wall-Cousins team was my favorite college team I’ve ever been able to watch but the loss we had against Wisconsin was the worst I’ve ever taken a loss.
I’d be surprised if Bam stays though. Cal will probably encourage him to leave because he’s a potential lottery pick, and Bam most likely sees all the big men we have coming in next year

BiggysmallsParticipantOnly thing Adebayo and Howard have in common are beach ball shoulders.
Adebayo isn’t nearly as bouncy or aware defensively. He’s a hulk of a 19-year old and he can be a useful player because he’s pretty active inside but c’mon. Howard’s been an elite player in the league and was the best Center in the game for a good 5-year stretch.
Isaac won’t be Durant. Not every skinny perimeter player that is 6’9 or taller is going to be Durant.
Markannen won’t be Porzingis. Not every tall white guy is going to be the next Porzingis.

holefillers1ParticipantWhen I watch Bam I see Montrezl Harrell. A fast paced offense would serve him well.
I think Jonathan Isaac will be the best player in this draft. Go watch highlights of Paul George at Fresno St. Isaac has all the intangibles that PG 13 has. George was able to improve his ball handling once he entered the league to allow him to attack a defense from anywhere. Isaac has that same ability to improve, he was a gaurd before his growth spurt. He effects the game in many ways without the ball.
Lauri Markkanen has a chance to grow into a special player. So much love for these guards but non for the 7 footer that hits half the threes he takes. If he gets proficient from the mid post he becomes a problem for the league. I would love to pair him with Embiid

kazamParticipantI’m not a huge Markkanen fan and this may be an unpopular opinion but I see a lot of Andrea Bargnani in him. He’s not the toughest guy around and doesn’t have any interest in rebounding, defending or impacting the game outside of shooting/scoring.

r377ParticipantBam reminds me more of Derrick Favors

kobyzParticipantBam is an Antonio Davis clone…
