The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantI heard a sports radio host in Philadelphia say that the Sixers were openly discussing trading Andre Iguadola to the Utah Jazz for The # 3 pick in the 2011 draft, he said Jodi Meeks and Spencer Hawes(who would have to agree to a sign and trade) would be involved too, The Sixers would take back Memhet Okur and select another Turkish prospect Enes Kanter to play C…essentially the trade hinges on The Wolves passing on Kanter at 2(they are expected to select Kanter and trade him to Washington for the # 6 pick and Nick Young) The Sixers and Jazz are rumored to be discussing a trade that would send Andre Iguadola, Jodi Meeks and Spencer Hawes to the Jazz for Memhet Okur and The # 3 overall pick…Have any other Sixers/Jazz fans hear about this potential draft day trade…The Jazz still own the 12th pick for the BPA(Jimmer Fredette or Jordan Hamilton) The Sixers own the 16th pick and are supposedly in love with 3 prospects besides Kanter(Tyler Honeycutt and the Morris Twins)…Thoughts guys…

Lotto StudParticipantThis will be very key for Philly, because I’m sure they are targeting Kanter, but who do they go with if he is not available at #3 Bismack Biyombo? They desperately need a 4. I would take BPA at the #3 spot & reach for Jeremy Tyler at #16 which would be very ideal once they realize his potential.

JoeWolf1There has been a lot of rumors about Minne trading #2 as well involving Indiana who supposed want Derrick Williams. I think it’s going to end up being Irving, Williams, Kanter with Williams and Kanter both being drafted and traded other teams.

WolvesFutureParticipantthe #2 pick for Nick Young and the 6th Pick? The last thing they need is another one dimensional scorer who doesn’t play D (Beasley). Who do they take at 6 then? Biyombo? Looks like they’ll be out of MN before I thought they would, go Seattle Sea Wolves!!!

PeanutParticipantAs i Jazz fan I love that trade. Jazz gets Andre Iguadola and two young players for Mehmet okur and #3 pick. Jazz need a SG and a backup C and they get them both in this trade plus their #12 pick.

scliddiardParticipantThe biggest problem I have with this trade, is Igudala’s contract, it’s terrible, also I like Kanter and would like to see the Jazz keep him and trade Big Al. I know Big Al is proven and Kanter isn’t but I like Kanters’ upside, his rebounding is what we need. Someone(scout/coach?) mentioned Kanter goes and gets rebounds like Moses Malone used to, I could live with that. I like any of the top 3 available picks, William, Irving, or Kanter for the Jazz.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantIf that trade is true, that’ll be a great deal for Utah..Becuz they need a star player and they also can use more athleticism upfront..And they still have a chance to select Jimmer later in the draft…
Cleveland nor Minnesota doesnt seem to be as eager to add Derrick Williams to their roster as much as alot of folks think..So i think there’ll be about 3 or 4 trades involving teams selecting in the top 10…
If Philly had picked Cousins last year their center problem might’ve been solved for the next decade…But they caved in to the fans & media who were saying Turner was nba ready…

sammybuckeye13ParticipantI know this was heard on the radio but I would love to see a link of some kind before getting emotionally invested in this, it’s too interesting…

laarethekingsParticipantI like the trade for both teams, but I don’t think it will happen. The Jazz have been over the cap and in the tax for three years now. AK is coming off the books and next year and Mehmet after next year. I like AI as a player and think the jazz do too, but I don’t think they’ll take back his 4 year 14 million salary with a new CBA coming, them just getting under the cap.

WizardofOzParticipantThis would be a great trade for both teams IMO.
And as far as Kanter being gone before #3, Cleveland will select Irving, and I don’t think Minnesota wants another big man that’s not very athletic next to Love. They will take Williams, or trade the pick.

lukestine13Participantthere are better deals out there than this one just to get rid of memo’s expiring contract. they keep the third pick IMO and take Canter with it. If they do a deal involving anyone i’d like to see it be one that adds another top draft pick not one that they trade it away. I’m really turn between who the jazz take whether they take Canter or Knight

HitsterParticipantIggy for a high pick has been discussed a lot and if teams are looking to trade picks then Thorn and Coach Collins could almost auction Iggy off to the highest bidder. I’ve mentioned a few teams are sitting on exceptions which could be used for Iggy but the Jazz pick is very interesting and if the Wizards/T-Wolves trade is possibly going to happen then the 76ers could actually end up with Williams at 3rd pick who can fill Iggy’s role and eventually Brand’s. Either way Kanter or Williams to Philly looks good for Philly and the Jazz get a core of Iggy, Harris, Favours,Hayward,Millsap and Jefferson going forward plus a legit 7 footer in Spencer Hawes so deal looks decent for both teams.
It might clog up Utah’s cap and still leave them with lots of good complimentary starters and no real star but if they pull together then they could be fairly revelant again. Philly would clear cap space for 2012 and with Turner/Holliday and say Kanter they have a nice young trio to build around.

delfamParticipantSo Philly trades 3 STARTERS for #3 and Okur. I don’t like it.
Philly’s problem is outside shooting and we trade Meeks? Who is going to play SF?
A lineup of Holiday/Turner/Young would be attrocious from 3-point shooting.
I like the trade, but I would not trade Jodie Meeks in this trade, he’s too valuable.

bksmithParticipantI like the Hawes and AI portion of this trade. The only thing that really worries me are the salaries that are being traded. If the Jazz were able to trade Okur and Bell then I would feel a little better about it but I also feel like the Jazz should get the #16 pick back from the 76ers as well.
I agree that the last thing the Jazz are trying to do is take back more money in salary and lose the #3 pick. If the Jazz were trading Al Jefferson and Bell for AI, Hawes and Meeks I would like it a lot more.
As has been mentioned the Jazz are in a great position to build through the draft and grow a solid young team together for the future. I really like AI as a player and have been a fan of his for a while but his contract is bad. Not Rudy Gay or Joe Johnson bad but it is still bad.

HitsterParticipantThe Jazz are going to be interesting next season as the first full one without Deron Williams and Jerry Sloan. Having acquired Favours last year maybe they think a proven NBA player in Iggy can get them back in the play offs whilst Philly will also probably look to stay a play off team as they will want to get best use out of Brand and Thorn and Coach Collins may not want to look very long term as they are not the youngest duo.

TheLastWordParticipantI think Iggy goes to the Wolves over the Jazz. They desperately need a SG and have the cap space to absorb his contract easily.

HarbingerMinn should try to persue Lance stephenson. I know bird said he’s sticking with lance through thick and thin but if an opportunity comes knocking with a chance to get a big with the number 2 pick bird a take it. Dont forget stephenson is a talent his character is qestionable not his talent. Also Minn is known for rejuvanating careers or lets say getting them going in the right direction (Darko I dont rember still being in the league , and Beasly). They pacers could put togther a package of future draft picks and lance. The wolves biggest need is depth, athleticism, more production from the center ,and a Sg because wes johnson is a sf its hard for him to ceate his own shot and shots for others and he already 24. Kanter can fill the center spot but hes unproven on the nba level or college level in 5 on 5 play. You can be a monster in 2 on 2s or workouts but 5 on 5 is a differnt story. Its a risk even tho I like kanter.

HarbingerIn fact if I was Minn I would persue takeing kanter which is a risk, getting a creater like andre or lance or trying to get Bogut. The number 2 pick could really get the rebuilding rolling for the bucks.
