Tim49461ParticipantI dont really need the article. i just want to know what the rumor is saying and how hot are the talks right now. Can post the article if you dont feel like explaining.
I swear if L.A is being stubborn about this i will murder them. Kahn is handing them a Championship. Keep Kobe, Bynum, Odom. Throw in whatever else to spice up the deal Holy Bonkers! Love is better rebounder by far and has a outside shot.

MagikKnickParticipantthe rumored deal is..
Gasol
for
Love, #2—
Kahn really wants to make Rubio comfortable by adding another ‘Spaniard", but apparently hes also pushing for Odom..

Tim49461ParticipantKahn is a greedy bastard!
Lakers should Do Gasol and Character or Ebanks throw in 2 of their 2nd rounders for kicks and giggles.
Personally i would throw in Ebanks just for good token. Saying thank you for the Championship. You know like if you owed the Mafia $50 you pay $75 for their troubles.

Johnny ChillThe Lakers threw Artest in.

Tim49461ParticipantThat is what im saying! Everyone should be on the block besides Kobe, Odom and Bynum. And Only Odom and Bynum because they want to atleast try to make a offer for Dwight. It may not work but hell if you dont have those two, they def. wont have a chance.

PulseGlazerParticipantWorst. Trade. Ever. If this were posted here, it’s a 25 neg post easy. I cannot imagine Kahn being that ludicrous.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 2:59pm #548040
TMoney617Participantthat would be a crazy trade and would make the lakers easily the favorite in the west but i don’t think it’s going to happen

Tim49461ParticipantIts getting alot of coverage for just being a Rumor though most rumors have truths to them. So Kahn is actually shopping K Love and the #2 tho

dodgerParticipantI am a huge Kevin Love fan, I think his game can succeed in any situation. I don’t know why Minnesota would want to do this. They will add another forward who does not like to be touched to their rotation. There must be more to this trade. I have been reading all day that the Lakers are trying to get into the draft, I hope Kalin Lucas is available.

kurtu17ParticipantIf lakers get the second pick in the pau trade would they pick Brandon Knight with that pick or would it be better to get a third team involve to get an all star point guard… theres so many ways lakers can go with this trade i hope it goes down…

OhCanada-ParticipantLakers get younger Wolves get better. Looks good on paper thats for sure.I bet on a team like LA Loves minutes decease and hs defensive flaws get substansially hidden.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 3:37pm #548077
royk927ParticipantYou get younger while still being competitive for a championship. This is a no brainer.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 3:39pm #548080

bedrock23Participantthe lakers would be stupid to do this trade kevin love nice but he don’t know how to win. Timberwolves only had 15 wins last season if he go on the lakers he not going to have the numbers he had with the timberwolves and he not going to have pau’s numbers even.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 3:56pm #548095
UNC44ParticipantHAHAHA you Laker fans think you can get 2 or Love for Gasol is CRAZY but you think you can get BOTH hahahahaha you have more of a chance of going 0-82 next year then getting Love or 2 and the rumor was from an LA journalist a week ago and now ESPN is making a deal of it.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 4:07pm #548101

iguapops420ParticipantDid someone honestly say they hope Kalin Lucas was still availabe. No offense, but that guy is crap. To be so small, he has neither the all out athleticism of Aaron Brooks or the build quickness of JJ Barea. I’d pass on Kalin even at 58.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantI don’t really think I have to mention the physicality that Love brings, not to mention he’s what we in the sport like to call a "winner".
The NBADRAFT.NET message board, where a guy with a 53-161 career record gets called a winner.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 4:25pm #548106
PulseGlazerParticipantYes, you see, Love should win through sheer superhuman ability to will it so. System and players around him have no bearing on success.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 4:51pm #548131

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantLove had a roster filled with former lottery picks, and guys like Webster and Ridnour were contributors for playoff teams. If someone wants to claim Love is a "winner" then one needs to define the term of a winner so that it can fit someone who wins all of 24 percent of his games he has played in.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 4:53pm #548132

sheltwon3ParticipantLove is actually a better fit because he will rebound a lot better than Gasol and does not need to get a lot of touches.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 4:57pm #548136
dodgerParticipantDo you really want Kevin Love as your cornerstone for the future if you’re the Lakers?
He isn’t good enough to be the franchise guy for the T-wolves, but somehow is for the Lakers.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 5:04pm #548140
darcydParticipantso what if this deal went down would the lakers then have the ability to go after howard and paul. here is my trade scenario although it wont happen.
min- gasol, j richardson for love, flynn, millicic and 2nd pick
la- paul, howard and love for gasol, bynum, odom, and artest (go after vince carter fa)
no- 2nd pick, flynn, millicic and artest for paul (2nd pick if not’s going to be irving then can decide between knight and williams because they flynn, would then probably on trade these assests and see what that could get. i mean apart from 2nd pick)
orlando- bynum, odom, and 3 future fisrts no, la next year and min 2 years for howard and jason richardson
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 5:04pm #548141
PulseGlazerParticipantLove isn’t the cornerstone. He’s a peice. One player doesn’t win a title. Love spreading the floor and rebounding would be extremly useful with Kobe in the post and Bynum down low.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 5:07pm #548142
dodgerParticipantI know one player doesn’t win, my point was that Kevin Love would be someone you project to be in your lineup for ten years if you made the move. I think he is a hard guy to build around because you’d still need the scorer type which are hard to find, especially championship level scorers.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 5:10pm #548143
PulseGlazerParticipantYou can build around Love fairly easily… in fact, the Lakers already have. His name is Andrew Bynum.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 5:20pm #548147
natedogggParticipantyou guys do realize the deal cant just be gasol for #2 and Love. more players need to be involved to make the numbers work.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 5:24pm #548151
Tim49461ParticipantI loved watching those games where Bynum went for 20-30 rebounds. Or that one game where Bynum had over 20 points. What do you mean you dont remember? Oh that was Love not Bynum? SO you’re telling me Bynum never even came close to those stats? Would i ignorant if i said i dont believe you?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 5:51pm #548161
HotSnotParticipantGasol for the #2 and Love is another lopsided trade for LA. LA would be selling Gasol very high. He disappeared in the playoffs, he doesn’t like to be touched on offense, his contract extension that he recieved is for another 3years at 19mil per, his defense is only adequate and he’s 32. He’s a championship caliber PF/C who doesn’t like to play center. I know it sounds like I’m bashing but I do like Gasol… just not for DWill or Kanter and Kevin Love.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 6:12pm #548178

thparadoxParticipantBad trade for both sides.
Twolves are trying to rebuild… why trade a possible franchise PF for a much older franchise PF?
Lakers are trying to win a chamionship… why trade a top 10 player (who had a bad playoffs, but is still a damn good player) for a younger PF who is suspect on defense and #2 pick who might not be good for 2-3 years.
I bet you a million dollars this trade doesn’t happen.
