In the midst of all the seriousness today with Bigot Sterling I figured why not try lightening the mood by asking the question… who do you want representing your team in the draft lottery? (Assuming your team is one of the worst like mine is).

As a Lakers fan I want to see the Magic man.  I feel like he would have the type of luck needed.  Though I don’t know if he is willing to associate with the Lakers at this point, or what the rules are regarding it.

Obviously the Cavs fans want Simon Birch to represent again.

Odd ball question but why not?  Take a stab at it.

Out of the lottery teams I like Utah and hope they send the Jazz Bear with Malone!

Would be cool for Magic Johnson to go for LA. If Indiana didn’t have Bird on the pay roll would have been awesome to see him sitting next too Magic.

This might be weird, but I want my team to get any die hard fan to represent the team. Who else other then a person with no stakes in it other the love of the game and team. I don’t want a player because he likely grew up elsewhere, and doesn’t have the same kinda die hard love like a native fan.

Would you be cool with the Celtics sending Bill Simmons?

The Celtics should get Jeremy Fry to represent them

Rick Ross should represent the Heat just for laughs, although he is apparently a fan. hahaha.

Seriously though Joe Dumars has taken a lot of heat as the GM. I wanted him gone immediately when he signed Josh Smith who does not fit in the Pistons roster at all. However, he was once a beloved athlete in the state of Michigan. No one had one bad word to say about Dumars before he became a GM. He always was a class act and a wonderful person who was beloved around the league. Despite playing on the Bad Boy Pistons he was known for being one of the classiest players in the NBA.

No one loves the Pistons as much as Dumars and he deserves to have something good happen to him after all of the insults hurled his way. It would be a great sendoff for him if he could get one of the top 3 picks.

He’s always done a reasonable job with drafting (other than Darko and Rodney White, but hey, nobody’s perfect when it comes to drafting), so I’d be happy to see him represent the pistons. On an unrelated note, if he wants a demotion, he should be allowed to head up scouting for the Pistons.

Barkley representing the Suns. He’d say something regrettable.

Fred Hoiberg, (that would mean he would be our head coach) I know he has his dream job and I would rather them not mess with that, but he is a great young coach who would be a great fit for the team. Ames is also only a 3 hour drive from Minneapolis to Ames where he grew up. I don’t think it will happen, but that is who I hope represents the timberowolves.
