don042488ParticipantI’m a New Yorker, and I love the thought of Chris Paul being a Knick…So I thought of a 3 way deal that’ll land him in New York, between the Hornets, Knicks, and Raptors.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=278ymaw
The Knicks receives: Chris Paul and Julian Wright
The Hornets receives: Anthony Randolph, Jose Calderon, Wilson Chandler, Eddy Curry, and Reggie Evans
The Raptors receives: Emeka Okafor and Toney DouglasOf course the teams could throw in picks and cash, but that’s for them to figure out…In terms of the players fitting and the deal matching financially, I accomplished that, with this trade…All parties win…The Knicks get a franchise point guard that’ll go crazy in D’Antoni’s system, especially with the pick and roll game with Amare and the drive and kick game with Gallo…The Hornets get back good talent for Chris Paul, and all expiring contracts, expect for Calderon’s, so their cap situation gets better, which is good for the new general manager in New Orlean’s, to make his stamp on the roster…The Raptors get rid of Calderon’s long deal, and get’s a defensive presence in Emeka and a rebounder…Okafor and Bargnani would compliment each other very well…Plus Toney Douglas gives them some toughness on the perimeter, as far as an on the ball defender, which they surely lack…I don’t see why this deal can’t go down.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI like the deal. My only thing is Toronto just threw Johnson 34 million and drafted Ed Davis..You really think they’d want another big?
But hey, Chris Paul ends up a Knick and Danillo Gallinari stays in NY. Hope it happens.

don042488ParticipantU know how I could get this deal to the Knicks? or someone who could inform the Knick’s brass?

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI wish. I wrote so many “How to help fix the Knicks” post in the past lol

gregoden08ParticipantNuff said.

kerry kittlesParticipantWhy would the Raptors do this: they just paid Amir Johnson a ton of money this offseason plus they drafted Ed Davis so why would they want a third power forward? And a guy whose got a terrible contract.

NashyMingParticipantRaptors probably won’t do it. If they are to take on Okafor’s contract, Tony Douglas won’t be enough to get the deal done. Would at least need a better young player to be included in the deal. Maybe Galli (since BC loves Italian) or Darren Collison.
I don’t see Raptors being involved without Galli or Collison.

don042488ParticipantI’m on Twitter right now, tryna get this deal across to David Aldridge and Chris Brossuard…I told Chris Paul about the deal…Let’s see if it can happen =)

don042488ParticipantI rather have Okafor’s terrible contract than Calderon’s terrible contract on my roster, if i was a gm…With Emeka, u get a guy who’s an automatic double-double, with close to 2 blocks..He’s a game changer with shot-blocking presence

sheltwon3ParticipantThat is not a bad deal but do you think Toronto would help New York. Also trading Caulderon’s contract with Okafor is not bad for Toronto who could use more size and need to get rid of Caulderon.

kobyzParticipantthis is the best trade for both sides:

dipt1982Participant^^^ That trade is just ridiculous kobyz…the knicks would give up half of their roster for that deal.
As for the OP’s trade, I just don’t see Paul going to the Knicks, I think the Magic are still the best situation for him, and they have trade value to give in return…

MkadozaParticipantThese are all, no offense, terrible trades that gut the roster. I don’t see any reason why you would include Toronto in this. It really easy to trade Curry, and any two of Randolph, Douglas, or Chandler, all on cheap one year deals, and a first rounder. You wanna get real frisky throw in Julian Wright and you get all three, just to sweeten the deal for the Hornets. I doubt you’ll find equal value for Paul, so I’m offering you cap space, young talent, and a draft pick or two. Hard to get much better than that, especially when some in management are reportedly looking to sell their stock in the team.

GodfatherParticipantMy best scenario is if the Knicks can get Cp and keep Gallo and Randolph, but if they lost one of them, that would still be amazing.

DanEboyParticipantChris Broussard is now the man…..I will believe anything that guy says.
