Not sure if this has been posted already, and most of you probably already know, but Syracuse is headed to the ACC. The article below mentions Syracuse’s(and Pitt’s) move.

What effect does it have on the Big East and ACC? For one, I think most people are dissapointed at the fact that historic rivalries are now lost, but on the bright side, Duke, North Carolina, Wake, Clemson, Maryland, Pitt, and Syracuse in the same conference? That will be interesting to watch. Jim Beohim also said on PTI earlier today that they would try to schedule games with St Johns, and GTown.

All I know, is that we are gonna see some great games in the ACc within the next couple of years, but it is sad to see that all of these decisions are more money driven than anything.

What do you guys think about the move, and is it good for College Basketball? The Big East? The ACC. And the schools.

All this comes down to is the fact that unlike in college basketball, when you can see a team like Butler in the Championship Game..College Football have had the same teams playing for and winning the title year after year..And colleges presidents are now trying to get their schools to join 1 of the 4 Big Conferences SEC,PAC 10 and BIG 10 & ACC so they can get their hands on the TV Money those conferences are getting…Having all those Big name in schools in their league means much bigger TV Deals for those Conferences..
