Report: Cavaliers players have frequently discussed coaching issues with opposing players

not a big fan of changing coaches mid way through, but when players are openly bashing the coach to other players on the court and the assistant is calling timeouts without approval, something has to give. They obviously have no respect for Blatt. Blatt seems like he is too nice and not able to handle these egos. He is not NBA material.

I don’t know if George Karl has any plans to come back, but he would be interesting candidate if they fire Blatt.

Blatt is in over his head, but he’s also had to deal with a ridiculous amount of turmoil to start a career…injuries, trades, egos, etc.

But in all seriousness, the problem is not Blatt. The problem is Lebron. When he is on a team everything begins with him. When Lebron doesn’t FULLY and PUBLICALLY support his coach it opens the door for everyone else to put his 2 cents in.

It is just a bad fit for a first year coach. We saw this in Brooklyn when first year coach Kidd got a vetern championship aspiring type team and it bombed. It looks like it is heading that way in Cleveland.

Blatt would have been much better suited to do what Brad Stevens did and come into the league with a rebuilding young team. A team that could give him time to get players to buy in without the pressures of possible NBA rings and the circus that will always follow Lebron.

I am placing myself in the vast minority with this comment…

But with everything that has happened, if the Bulls were to have a major injury (not Noah, I think he is expendable due to their depth, and not including guys like Dunleavy or Hinrich having nagging injuries, I’m just referring to the Rose/Butler/Gasol trio) I would still pick the Cavs to win the East. LeBron doesn’t lose playoffs series’ too often, and I think he will be at a different level then. I’m not going to write Kevin Love off, he could still find his game in the 2nd half, and say what you want, JR is a clear upgrade from Waiters. He can have a huge game or two as well.
