sammybuckeye13Participant*Assume picks are involved in each, except for in the case of the Knicks. Also assume that if a team goes over the 20% mark that the Nuggets will hand over a worthless filler or two. The Nuggets are apparently demanding "young talent, expiring contracts and draft picks. I believe these are the (non-contenders) who can offer the best package per Denver’s wants. Keep in mind that K-Mart, Nene and J.R. Smith are all expiring contracts.
Nets: Derrick Favors, Troy Murphy and Kris Humphries
Kings: Samuel Dalembert, Jason Thompson and Donte Greene
Knicks: Danilo Gallinari and Eddy Curry
Rockets: Kevin Martin, Jordan Hill and Chase Budinger
Grizzlies: Zach Randolph and Hasheem Thabeet
Warriors: Monta Ellis and Brandan Wright
Suns: Jason Richardson and Earl Clark
Hornets: Peja Stojakovic and Marcus Thornton
76ers: Andre Iguodala, Thaddeus Young and Jason Kapono
Blazers: Nicolas Batum, Luke Babbitt, Rudy Fernandez, Joel Przybilla

NYCrealdealParticipantdo we not have this years pick meaning knicks
houston has option of switching but a pick is a pick

WizardofOzParticipant^^ The Knicks have a pick this year but cannot trade it due to the fact that Houston has the right to switch picks with them.

sheltwon3ParticipantI actually like the King’s trade because it give you young talent and players at positions you need and also it give you a lot of flexibility. Thompson and Green are on rookie contracts. Dalembert is in the last year on his deal and he is a defensive big man Nuggets can use. Donte Green can play small forward and can score and even defend a little bit and being from Syracuse maybe he could steal some of Melo’s magic. Jason Thompson is better than he has been able to show in Sacramento. This would make it also easier for Denver to also trade Martin for some young pieces. If Denver is rebuilding, you want to start with young promising players and a expiring contract. Iggy is not the guy you want hogging up all your cap. Kevin Martin is nice but those other pieces are role players to me. Also Kevin Martin has been just as injury prone as Kenyon Martin

llperezkings trade, i just am not that high on green or thompson. Both are young and have potential, but i watch a lot of kings games and im not sure those guys are ever gonna be anything special. Im not sure they will even become reliable starters on a playoff team, probably better off the bench.

getacombare you guys serious? i would take none of these, absolutely horrible. and the only way i accept a trade from the kings is if big cuz is in that shit

getacombhave we all forgotten the level that melo is on? was he not a starter on the redeem team? if im denver i want a legit starter and potential star young guy and picks

esperanzafleet69Participantby the way… kid above me.. the olympics dont mean s hit when u got that team… your not sayin much there… and anthony randolph.. possibly somebody else not named gallinari (possibly chandler).. and curry is a good deal.. you forget that the 2011 and 2012 classes arent bad either… especially when going into a new CBA, this cap space is valuable…

meisi4Participantfor me the sixers is the best one though iggys conract is awfully big and long for a rebuilding team….

bkballerParticipantmelo is not signing an extension on any of those teams other than the Knicks. The other team he will resign with is the Bulls, but they do not want to part with Noah so I don’t see any realistic trade they can offer. This is why the Knicks are lowballing the Nuggets right now…. and when the time comes chances are both teams will give a little on their demands and settle for something like Gallo, Chandler, Curry and 2014 1st, with maybe a third team involved.

yellowdunkerParticipantI would say the nets if u throw a first round pick in the deal……
0 - Posted on: Wed, 09/22/2010 - 8:30pm #405283

butidonthavemoneyOnly the Sixers or the Blazers.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 09/22/2010 - 8:47pm #405284

esperanzafleet69Participantyellow dunker… the nets arent that dumb… they will rebuild like OKC has… and they should… theyve got lots of cap flexibility, lots of young players that will want extensions, and will likely have top draft picks for a few years…

canesboy6ParticipantKevin Martin is probably the best player in the NBA that nobody seems to want.

dahoodrecruiterParticipantnets…….

jdstormParticipantIf chicago offered denver
Deng (or expiring contracts of equivalent value) Taj Gibson, James johnson and chicago’s 2011 and 2013 first round picks as well as the 1st rounder they are owed by charlotte. why does denver say know. especially if you think that derrick favours wont be any good.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 09/23/2010 - 5:49am #405339

thaprodigyParticipantThe only trades I would consider are the Rockets because the Nuggets get a scorer which they would need after trading Melo and they get 2 young prospects but the Rockets should throw in a pick I would consider the Sixers trade because you get a good player in Andre Iguodal and Thaddeus Young and cap relief. I would consider the Nets trade because you get a top 3 pick, a good power forward who’s salary comes off the books this year, but I think they would need to throw in a pick

nyk92Participantdoes anyone think this trade could happen?
Denever gets- Wilson Chandler, Anthony Randolph, Eddy Curry, 2014 1st round pick, and a second round pick
NYK gets- Melo, anyone else denver wants to throw in
0 - Posted on: Thu, 09/23/2010 - 9:32pm #405700
jdstormParticipantthe starting point is Galinari and randolph, then everyone not named amare should be on the table. Any team starting amare and Melo makes the playoffs in the east. That makes the houston deal better since the pick won’t be worth much, then hold onto the hope that tony parker wants in.
