Everybody always asling who’s better between Westbrook and Rose people are really high on the both of them. Even when I go to school and the subject is basketball it always come to Westbrook and Rose. I’m not asking who better but if you were a gm who would you take Westbrook or Rose and why?

Rose doesn’t play enough defense for me. Also we know that Westbrook can step aside and play second fiddle if he has too or be the leader. Could Rose be a number two option and be ok with it? I take Westbrook.

This is so tough, you cant go wrong either way, but i guess i’ll take rose because he is more versatile than westbrook and he at least has some kind of outside game.  He also has experience in being the number one option on an NBA team for a couple years.  It really doesnt matter which one you pick, you strike gold with either one.

I say Rose all day everyday…Once Rose starts playing defense he’ll be the best point guard in the league…1 thing i’ve notice about Rose is that he extends so much energy and effort on the offensive end,it seems that he tries to get rest on defense…If he had a guy that could take the scoring load off him i believe his assists totals will go up and defense will improve…

I’m a huge Bulls fan, but two things I really like about Westbrook is how he defends and how he rebounds. Right now there are point guards galore in the NBA and almost any of them can light you up on any given night, so defense becomes that much more important. Point guards that rebound at a high rate can really put a lot of pressure on the opposing team. The ability to grab the rebound and go, as opposed to grabbing then looking around is huge. If Rose can improve his defense then I might change my opinion, but there is no guarantee that ever happens. All people can improve on defense, but you just don’t become a great defender overnight. Even in the Olympics when Rose didn’t have to focus so much on offense, he wasn’t much of a defender. He’s probably very average at best, while I think Westbrook could become a great defender.

I’m taking Westbrook, but this is one of those cases where if you select either one, that nobody can say much to you.

I’d take Westbrook, he’s a better defender and rebounder.  He’s a little less flashy than Rose but I think he’ll be the better PG in the long run.

I really think this whole thing is being overplayed. As of right now, it doesnt matter who is better between the two.  They are both gonna be all stars, they both are leading their teams to victories, and they both have a humongous amount of value to their clubs.  Leave it at that.

Rose is the number 1 and Westbrook the no.2 and somehow that shows westbrook is better? That makes no sense. Rose is the slam dunk here. Westbrook and Rondo, are both FANTASTIC, however, they were both put in ideal situations. Rose hasnt played with a SHOOTING GUARD yet in his career. Hes making teams good.

Westbrook. both can score and pass but westbrook plays defense. I actually wouldn’t want a point guard to be my leader because neither can lead you to a title unless they have a go to scorer with them. They can get you to the playoffs though

Though they have similar numbers westbrook gets them in a more efficient way he is 4th in efficiency in the league while rose is 13th. Westbrook is second all league in PER while rose is 17th. Is not all about being flashy is also about efficiency, stats dont lie. I would pick westbrook hands down
