    LeBron is changing his jersey number to 6 and has sent in a request to the league to approve the change. It was stated as fact last night on ESPN that jersey number changes only need to be requested and approved only if the player is going to be on the same team next season. If a player switches teams during the offseason, NO REQUEST IS NEEDED. LeBron is staying put, and all these LeBron to my favorite team pipe dreams should thankfully go away. If this info/report is wrong, someone correct it please.

    this just means that lebron is keeping all his options open. should he choose to stay in cleveland he will have jersey number 6 but him requesting to change his number is far from re signing with the cavs. people shouldnt buy too much into this one way or the other, honestly lebron probably hasnt 100% decided what he is going to do after this season all we as fans can do is speculate

    Im gonna be realistic about this, and say thats its very likely that he does stay, he was reason to leave…only way he does leave is if he calls up Wade or Bosh, and say lets go to NY, but i doubt hes going by himself…

    As for the number change, Even if he knew in his mind right now that he was leaving, he wouldnt have made it as obvious as to announce hes changing his number, but never actually change it

    But wether your a person that thinks hes staying or going, there are much more deeper “clues” to look at than some jersey number…

    Why would LBJ file a change of number if he is going on a different team anyway? If he’s going to NYK, he would’ve had number 6 by all means without filing it… I mean look at Kapono, he wears 24 with Cleveland, Miami and Toronto and now that he’s with the Sixers he’s wearing 72… It’s pretty confusing but it’s kinda a clue that he’s there to stay in Cleveland…

    lol..i think hes just making some of you fans run around chasing youre tails thinking everything is a clue.. wearing hats changing numbers/ i bet if he started eating apples before the games some would say thats a clue to him going to the big apple.lol
