Why is Kansas 9-4? I haven’t watched them much lately, I’ve seen them play twice, against Duke and Colorado .

Prospects, not college basketball players, there is a difference. For example, how Doug McDermott is a top 5 college player but not a top 5 prospect.Prospects are judged on how well they will do in the pros not nessecarily at the college level.Add to the fact that Kansas is a relatively young team going through a hard schedule, I think they will get better along the way come March.

Toughest schedule in the country. 3rd youngest team in country. Poor perimeter team. Very inconsistent PG play.

KU is a very young team and not physically or mentally mature. They haven’t responded well to teams playing physically or pressuring them. That said they’re 2 last second 3-pointers from being at least 11-2.

They have a long way to go before being any type of contender but if things click for them on the defensive end they could be very dangerous.

Forgive me if I’m wrong but didnt Kansas have the toughest preseason schedule? Since Iona I dont think they’ve played even an average team, and they might be one of the only ones.

They are young, they will get it together. Mason is starting to become good

These two young kids have tons of potential but are raw.  I think the pieces will come together and they will make a deep run.  Maybe not to the Final Four but at least to the second weekend.

They are a young, athletic team that also has extra bigs with Tarik Black and Perry Ellis.

Wonder if the Embiid/Wiggins Kansas team is comparable to the old Phi Slamma Jamma team with Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler.

Right now, of any young team, I like Kansas the most.  I like them better than Kentucky and maybe even Duke.  I like the way they play and they have a lot of talent.  Good balance between perimeter guys and inside guys.  If you want to make a deep tourney run, you need both.

They have to mesh and find out who they are as a team.  Also you have to realize the NCAA is really about your backcourt and mainly your PG play.   Can’t go to Wiggins and Embiid to take over if they don’t have a good PG that will give him the ball in their spots.   Remember how Harrison Barnes was having a tough time with Larry Drew as the starting PG?  Then Roy switched to Kendall Marshall and it was a different team.   Its crucial to have a solid PG in the NCAA or you gonna struggle to win games at times.

I do agree that if you have all this NBA talent on your team you should be able to dominant, but not with this team.   To be honest that’s why UK is having a hard time because of their lack of a true PG…
