if he really wants 12mil a year, i would try my best to trade his ass, that is just over the top, he’s good but he doesnt deserve that kind of money YET, maybe down the road, i’d offer him like 4yrs, starting at 8, with the bulk coming at the end of the contract

the celtics are playing this perfectly…..look at David Lee and Nate Robinson, 2 players who were in the same position last year…..Read this article and it makes sense why they would wait….Basically the point is that the Celtics could give Rondo an extension like his draft classmates Roy and Aldridge received…However by waiting they gain the ability of signing him to less money due to the CBA and can match any offer a team makes….The only way this move backfires is if a team offers him a max contract which i personally don’t see….The only team that may do that is Knicks but i don’t think they will spend max money and him

I don’t trade rondo. He is too important to that team and they are trying to win now. If he wants 12 mill per, then I sit back and wait to the off season and let the market dictate his value. The salary cap is dropping and I’m not sure he will get 12 mill per on the market. If he does, then the c’s have a tough decision to make on wether to match.
