The Scare Crow RisesParticipantThey have a ton of Cap space and a great young coach in Luke, they will likely sign a player like Whiteside or Barnesvto the Max, they could get Derezon if he leaves Toronto…
Let’s say none of those guys leave their teams, they can get a few veterans like Batum and Horford to pair up with Randle and Russell…
Speaking of Russell, he could fetch a high pick if you really wanted to trade him, to a Philadelphia for the rights to your pick back(Bender or Poeltl could be nice with Randle downlow)
The Lakers will be fine with or without the Pick IMO, they usually rebuild through Free Agency, they could actually be better off securing their pick next year, deeper draft class?
The 76ers would jump for Joy, imagine them taking Ingram 2nd and Jamal Murray 4th…Sign Evan Fournier in the Summer and man, they could be a surprise next year, not a playoff team but a very exiting team with potential

ExumInfernoParticipantWalton knows they lose a pick, and losing it now or next year wouldn’t be as bad as losing a number 1 overall in 2018. He probably assumes they keep it this year, but more importantly he assumes they get a couple of big free agents. The Lakers might have to send a first to Orlando in a few years too, so Walton isn’t thinking the draft is the big way his team wins.
If the 76ers are getting the pick, they can draft a brand new starting backcourt and would be very happy, and maybe in the playoffs if everything else works.
This lottery is going to be very exciting, some disappointment could happen if Lakers lose their pick or if Kings have to swap their picks.
