d-grizzlyParticipantThe Grizzlies(34-31) are the 9th seed currently and only 3.5 games out. I’m worried that if they don’t steal 8th seed from Portland(38-28), what should they do in the offseason? Sure, they have three 1st round picks, but 2 of them are around 26-30 range. Should they fall short of 8th seed….their pick will be around 12-14..
I understand it is a talented draft, and that the Grizzlies first need (at this point) is more help from the bench.. but they also need to be looking toward the future(randolph will have 1 year on his contract after this year). If they don’t make the playoffs, should they try to trade away their picks for a higher pick for a good bench player?
plus, match any offer for rudy gay 🙂

sheltwon3ParticipantThe Grizz will have an opportunity next year but this year not so. The West is too talented for them to start slow and start to play average now.

d-grizzlyParticipantyou may be right sheltwon. I can’t seet Portland falling out of 8th seed. Although, it is possible. Should the grizz trade all their picks in a package for a better pick, if they don’t make it?

kurtu17Participanti think they should they already have a solid five…they need either a good high draft pick…or trade it for a really good player…

butidonthavemoneyThey could use those picks to add depth. I think the two things they need are depth and leadership, so instead of trading up for a slightly better pick they should just use the picks that they have.
Damion James
Scottie Reynolds
Greivis VasquezGives them better depth. Role-players who know how to win games. Add Ronnie Brewer, Hasheem Thabeet, Sam Young and DeMarre Carroll to that and the Grizz would have an exciting (though unreliable) bench.
If I was the Grizz I would just go for a veteren. A real presence off the bench. Preferably a point guard. Maybe Anthony Carter.
If they don’t lose Rudy Gay, Anthony Carter would have a bigger impact than any player the Grizz could get from 10-30.

d-grizzlyParticipantthey I’m just wishing away for trading those picks for a higher pick, maybe someone like monroe may fall around 8-12….not too sure on him, but he could be a future pf replacement for randolph.
or
they could just draft for the needs at PG, PF.
How does everybody feel about williams on the grizzlies? i’m liking the idea of maybe the grizzlies keeping this guy for help there….i really do like his gameplay.
PLUS….MAYBE..we can sign mike miller back to help us next year 🙂

j1232eParticipantI don’t know a hell of a much about the Grizz, but if Randolph and Gay leave it start over. Durrant score 35 next year! Lottey, Jazz own a pick from you!
