If needed, teams should play in ways that compliment the strengths of the players they have on their team. That’s why I believe that the sixers should fully commit to playing joel embiid and jahlil okafor together in a twin towers fashion that is similar to what the spurs did with tim duncan and david robinson. And completely take advantage of their skill set that allows them to be dominate post players. They should even try to utilize a 3 headed monster approach and fully take advantage of the skill set that embiid, okafor, and nerlens noel posess and completely create a team that is dominate in the paint on defense and offense. Noel can be an effective player off the bench getting minutes at the power forward and center positions. F**k that small ball sh*t with stretch 4s, Create offensive schemes that compliment the skill set of your players, play to the strengths of your team

Duncan and Robinson were both elite defenders. Okafor is…..not close to that. Philly also leads the league in passes per game, he doesn’t really contribute to that. They are trying to build a sustainable system that complements the team and it’s continued improvement. He should honestly be the piece they move, but they’d be taking pennies on the dollar considering his draft position and rookie season.

Don’t care if we trade him for pennies because he was an insurance policy in case the Embiid project didn’t work out.

I’ll trade him for any knockdown sharpshooter that fits with

Embiid, Ilyasova, Simmons, Isaac/Jackson/Fultz/Monk

Oak for Avery Bradley or Allen Crabbe.

 At this point I think Allen Crabbe’s contract is bad enough that you don’t give assets but receive assets for him.

Also, compare advanced stats (you know the ones where Jah sucks) of Okafor and said-to-be a future star Devin Booker . Yes, Booker is even worse for his team right now. Jah does not fit Philadelphia, but that does not mean he can’t end up being good.

Jah can’t play defense.  Its that simple.  Watch Embiid, then watch Jah play with the same squad.  

Embiid raises everyones game on defense because the Sixers are pretty weak defensively.

Offensively, I truly believe Jah knows how to play with a team, pass out of doubles etc, and his teammates aren’t good enough around him to find him in the right spots.  I wouldn’t mind seeing him with Simmons and seeing if Simmons can elevate his game.  But Jah’s inexcusable holding onto the ball too long and failing to crush smaller power forwards even when he was playing iwth Embiid…I’m not sure if thats Jah’s lazy fault, or the caoch or the players.

Sorry, Jah has to show more energy and dominate other smaller players like he was doing last year.  Maybe communicate better and let his teammates know he demands the ball just like Joel does.  Right know he’s outdated and worth peanuts.  

I want to trade him to Portland but the way Portland plays he won’t help.  Jah may help only in the playoffs in a half court set when the game slows down….it would be interesting to watch.  So I hope he goes to Portland and helps them.

Give us Crabbe who has a surprisingly good 3-pt percentage and this white boy Jake Layman who can simply shoot the lights out.

We just need to surround Embiid with shooters.  Spacing is key.

 Crabbe is Hollis Thompson with a max contract. YOU DO NOT WANT THAT.

I know Jahlil has played ostensibly bad or at least has not found any sort of synergy or fit with this team. I am jsut saying that we forget how young he still is, why are we forgiving Booker’s trash defense and efficiency then ? He has been even worse than Jah by any measurable metric and everybody, including me, still sees great potential in him. We are just burying Jah too much. I am not saying I like him, or he is even a good player but he should still be considered as a good young player and an asset. I genuinely believe that Jah is a better prospect than any Center in the upcoming draft (except perhaps Giles, not sold yet) and that the right value for him thus is still decent. He has to go though. I can see Jah to NY for their 2017 pick, top 3 protected, perhaps more if you need to take a bad contract like Lance Thomas (even more for a trash contract like Noah). And I honestly think that would be great for NY and Jah.

They are just not that important anymore. Look at the two best teams. GS and Cleveland they both have bigs that can stretch the floor. Then a Center is lower on  the totum pole. Embid is the Center. He and Simmons need people to stretch the floor around them. They Need shooters not bigs.

really all Philly needs in addition to Simmons who will be the best passer with the best vision in the game, next only to Lebron because both dudes have the size advantage.  Sergio Rodriquez is a great passer too apparently, but dude can’t see over 90% of the league.

So to compliment Simmons who will be the ball distritbutor, is another guard that can get his own off a double.  

Fultz is ideal, Josh Jackson will be a nice prize.  Jonathan Isaac will be nice too.  Won’t mind Monk either.

So…in reply to you, Philly has the greatest piece in Embiid that neither GSW or CLE has.  Philly’s job at getting to the top is much easier than CLE (who had to acquire the best player on the planet), or GSW (the fortune of drafting both Thompson and Curry, the best shooting backcourt in the history of the NBA).  

There is no problem with what Philly has right now, the pieces WILL COME.  The pieces WILL COME.
