thetruthParticipantnow were always hearing about king james leaving cleveland for ny. but the truth is. if he were to leave
it wouldnt be for the knicks. it would be for the nets only. why
simply look at this
the nets have a nice young stud in harris, whos one of the top point guards in the league.
then they have lee at the 2. a young defensive player whos gonna get better.
then they have lopez whos a beast downlow.
then you gotta look at the bench they have dooling whos a solid backup who can score, battie is nice big man , then they have twill who can help out at the 2 and 3.
plus jay-z co-owns the team.
and we all know him and bron all good friends.now the knicks on the other hand are still trying to put a team together
now they dont have a point guard of the future yet unless douglass can prove people wrong,
then they dont have a big man that can pressure of bron. darko doesnt cut it. im sure he will do better in ny because of the style of offense mike runs, then you have hill who will be a nice player down the road, but not an all-star, and with lee and nate both free agents who are really their best players might be leaving. i just cant see bron wanted to come to a team that hasnt been to playoffs in a couple years. and we know bron is a private person thats from a small town. so i cant see him wanted to be in that kind of city. i think at the end of the day bron will stay a cav.0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:04pm #176421

sheltwon3ParticipantActually if you look at the Knicks young talent and also who they may get in next year’s draft also who they could get with a Lee trade and Mike D’s style. The Knicks are starting to get the edge now. They actually look like a quality team this year as long as they dont make any more trade mid season that kill the chemistry.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:05pm #176422

Knicksboy34ParticipantNY…alot of players love Mike D and NY and Walsh are attractive…you can bring in talent.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:07pm #176424
knicksfan7ParticipantAs a Knicks fan I do agree. Also, the nets could be one of the bottom feeders in the East, and on the re-build. I think the Knicks will make the playoffs. cause Detroit without sheed and AI won’t do it with charlie V and Ben Gordon, the 76ers if Andre Miller is gone they won’t make it b/c Holiday isn’t ready to lead. It gives the Knicks a chance, a chance that I will live with.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:07pm #176425

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantHe has a better chance winning if he stays in Cleveland. Unless he decides to go west and for Lakers or something.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:09pm #176426
Stanford hoopsParticipantshelwton the knicks dont have a draft pick next year in the first round…alot of players do like mike d..but the smart ones know his way doesnt stress defense and doesnt win championships…more than likely he will stay and cleveland will get another good player in free agency even if they have to go over the cap (who wouldnt go over the cap to keep lebron ..esspecially in the city state hes from)
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:11pm #176429
Stanford hoopsParticipantnever never never count out the lakers..lol..though im sure it wont happen..but we all know somehow someway the lakers get players they shouldnt get
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:15pm #176437
J-CHRISTOSParticipantLebron James should stay in Cleveland,he already the face of the league, makes 30-50 million dollars a year,he playing in his home state, playing in front of friends and family.Jay-z comes to watch him play, how much bigger could he get
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:20pm #176443
NYKnicksuperFanParticipantwould be if they moved to Brooklyn which is still not a certainty
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:30pm #176452

gatorheelsParticipantLeBron is going to the Knicks. He wants to be on the big stage in Madison Square Garden. King James is just a New York kinda guy. The Knicks will have plenty of talent in 2010 to attract LeBron. Hell when you really think about it the Knicks have just as much talent as the Cavs do. I mean look at their rosters. I’m not counting Shaq because he could very well leave the Cavs after this year.
Mo Williams, Delonte West, Big Z, Varejao (may not even be re-signed), Daniel Gibson
Milicic, Gallinari, Jordan Hill, Wilson Chandler, Toney Douglas, (who knows maybe Nate, DLee, Jason Kidd)
Personally I think the Knicks wlll have the better supporting cast in 2010.
That being said why wouldn’t the King go to New York? Better city, bigger stage, better team, better coach, better system….etc..
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:32pm #176457

Knicksboy34Participant100% agree Gator
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:35pm #176461
Stanford hoopsParticipantlol…thats what ya’ll WANT to happen..key word being want…its wishful thinking…lebron is a championship kind of guy and he wants a championship..also like i said before thoses in the know and those close to him say he is leaning towards cleveland first miami 2nd and newyork is a distant thrid with nj…..personally i could care less cuz im a laker fan so i have nothing to gain either way ..jsut stateing the facts..sorry newyork fans
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:36pm #176463
Stanford hoopsParticipantsomething i found out that is counting against ny is the fatc that dantoni’s team doesnt preach defense whatso ever
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:36pm #176464
knicksfan7ParticipantWell said. Watching the Knicks this year when they played Cleveland the 3rd and 4th times I was like wow w/o Lebron this team is a bunch #3-bench player options while the Knicks have more quality guys than Cleveland. It was just soooo apparent.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:38pm #176465
Stanford hoopsParticipantthen on top of that cleveland will be a player in the free agent game next year…a major one
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:38pm #176466

gatorheelsParticipantI just have a feeling he is going to the Knicks. When they offer him a huge contract he won’t resist. LeBron just doesn’t want to talk about it now of course. No way he chooses Miami over New York. Personally I think LeBron is getting tired of playing in Cleveland with the same players surrounding him that just cant get it done in crunch time.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:40pm #176468

gatorheelsParticipantYeah that is exactly what I am saying. If LeBron wants to win championship he will go to New York…it is clear they have better overall talent than Cleveland. The Cavs have a terrible squad. I wouldn’t want Mo as my starting PG, west as my SG, & no way in hell would I ever want Big Z or Varejao to even step on the court ha.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:41pm #176469
knicksfan7ParticipantI can totally see Lebron being the GM of the Knicks next summer saying “Donnie you have to get me players a and b and I will sign with the Knicks.” It just wouldn’t surprise me if the Knicks sign a superstar and some1 else, and then Lebron and the connection is that some1 else was signed b/c Lebron wanted him too.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:41pm #176470
Stanford hoopsParticipantim just going by the horses mouth..ask b markson..he chills with lebron as well as some of the other cleveland guys during the offseason because he works out with them and had a tryout with them.sorry miami is alot more realistic and youre right about him not talking to the public about it
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:42pm #176471
Stanford hoopsParticipantbut ya’ll will just have to wait and see..just remeber when everything falls into place what i told ya
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:42pm #176472

Knicksboy34ParticipantI think the more and more Cleveland Waits and continue to give him B type Talent for a season ( Shaq), the more and more LBJ is looking elsewhere.
Josh can you give us some like links or anything saying he would love to play on Miami? All I see LBJ do is wear NY hats and other NY apparel. The Knicks could present LBJ a solid couple of reason why to sign with them. I’m not even sure if Wade may even stay in Miami….
also, the last time I saw 2 friends talking about picking teams to go to was when Baron Davis signed with The Clippers to come home and play with Elton Brand….who left for Philadelphia.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:46pm #176475
Stanford hoopsParticipantthere is no links because this is from him telling friends and people he chill with( my boy b markson being one of them)..and hes a big knicks fan so when lebron told him this he was highly pissed
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:48pm #176477
Stanford hoopsParticipantwith fans it doesnt matter what you say they gonna beleieve what they hope will happen so i wont say anything else on the matter and just let ya’ll wait and see…all i care about is what the lake show will do
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:48pm #176478

Lemons4LifeParticipantApparently quite a while back they talked to him on ESPN. He did say Miami was a good option. Also, the Heat are getting a better salary cap, and Wade doesn’t plan on leaving he says. LEBRON IS NOT GOING TO STAY IN CLEVELAND!
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:50pm #176480
Stanford hoopsParticipantit doesnt matter you wont convince the knicks fan or nets fan other wise so let them have hope….hope is a good thing…its just gonna be tough if that hope doesnt come tru…i say if because hey maybe lebron will change his mind…..im not sure ya’ll understand how much he would liek to play along side dwade
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:50pm #176481

Lemons4LifeParticipantI agree NYK is first
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:53pm #176484

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantive actually heard from dru joyce that miami is 1st on his list unless cleveland gets better talent around him
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:54pm #176485

gatorheelsParticipantI just dont see LeBron & Wade ever being on the same team. It just never happens that way in the NBA. I mean they are 2 of the top 5 star players in the league. For them to wind up on the same team would be rare. I don’t think the league wants this to happen. Why would LeBron really want to go to Miami? that is what I dont understand. It seems New York is much more his style. A lot of players want to go to cities where they fit in. Example Hedo going to Toronto. LeBron seems like he belongs in New York. We will see though. I would love to see him in MSG, that would be a show.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:56pm #176488
knicksfan7ParticipantThey can both come to NY, and hell let’s get Chris Bosh he’ll take a pay cut and picks #1,4, and 5 will win it for the Knicks. I mean look we’re seeing guys like Ron Artest, Rasheed Wallace, Vince Carter (though traded), and Shaq all trying to win either their 1st ring or another ring. Believe it or not in 5 years if Lebron doesn’t have a ring he’ll be in that same situation as those players not having a ring to solidify there careers. Idc if Lebron and Bosh go to Miami to team up with Wade I just want to see quality basketball.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:56pm #176489

Knicksboy34Participantbut you just threw LA and was saying…you never know about LA
Im gonna be honest…I think LBJ is considering NY 1st and foremost. He will look at Wade and MIA but it sounds too good to be true. I think around this time 2010, LBJ will be looking for a home in NY and calling his new superstar Teammate….
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:58pm #176491
knicksfan7Participantthe point guard of Akron said it LOL. Will he be Lebron’s PG in the NBA???
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:59pm #176493

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantHe makes more money if he stays in Cleveland. He’s a global star with the Chinese investors owning part of the Cavs.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 3:59pm #176494
Stanford hoopsParticipantlebron likes the idea of being a jordan pippen team..he also likes the idea of getting championships…unsually it doesnt happen because teams cant offered to..but back in the day it happened all the time and and if some players werent so greedy it could happen more often..happened with shaq kobe also…the players would love for this type of thing to happen if they are involved and arent the type that want all the glory..reguardless what the leauge wants that doesnt matter.. else you wouldnt see some of these horrible trades and newyork (very big market) would have been good and stayed good
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:00pm #176495
Stanford hoopsParticipantdru…lol..naw dur plays over in europe…hes doing pretty well….i do know him and lebron are best friends still
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:02pm #176496

gatorheelsParticipantjosh…thats true
so why does LeBron like Miami so much? that is what I wanna know. Is it purely just wanting to play with Wade?
New York just seems like a perfect fit.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:02pm #176490

Knicksboy34ParticipantYour telling me…The former PG of Arkon told you LBJ is considering Miami?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:05pm #176500

Knicksboy34ParticipantI dunno…i think right now…NY over MIA or Cleveland….sounds more serious…NY can add superstars next to LBJ
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:06pm #176503

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantBe funny if Lebron signs an extension this summer. Break NY heart.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:07pm #176504

Knicksboy34ParticipantYea…then we could target Brandon Roy and he sign with NY…Breaks your heart.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:09pm #176509

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantRoy is signing an extension this summer too 😀
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:10pm #176510

Knicksboy34ParticipantI agree with that but LBJ is the Centerpiece.
I said thousand of other NBA FA in 2010 we should target….Rondo, Gay, J.Johnson, Stats etc
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:10pm #176511
Stanford hoopsParticipanti dont know..i never asked b markson why …i do know that miami seems more of a perfect fit then ny …i mean wade..a pretty good pg in mario chalmers..jermaine oneal haslem..beasley…that and on top of a much much better chance at winning a title which it is well known thats his main focus..sorry knicks fans once again..the only reason knicks fans will continue to believe is he wants to be a knicks first because they want him and the fact he likes the yankees im pretty sure even if his mom said hes going tomiami they still would believe hes going to the knicks….its prett obvious miami has better pieces then ny….i HOPE he doesnt go there though..thats a hell of a challenge for my lake show
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:11pm #176512

Knicksboy34Participantso you hope…blazerfan
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:13pm #176507
J-CHRISTOSParticipantYou guys act this is written the stone that Brono destined to go to the Knicks, hey I live in the tristate area(I’m a Lakers fan) I would love for him to come, but he’s not, there’s alot of free agents in 2010 that could help the Knicks ,we have a bad habit of swinging big and when we miss it’s a big disappointment, there other free agents that are interested in playing for N.Y,lets focus on those guys
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:13pm #176516
Stanford hoopsParticipantlol..thats so tru about knicks fans did you watch the draft this year…not getting curry..fans boooing..that was classic..every knick fan i know thought it was in stone that they were getting curry
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:13pm #176515

Knicksboy34Participantso josh…if he goes to NY…what would you say?
Even going to NY over Mia sound more realistic…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:14pm #176517

OldSkoolBasketballParticipant100% sure… Knicksboy34. Anyway I don’t think throwing money at his Lebron’s face would make him come to NY when he can get more money in Cleveland. Sure NY is a better city to live in but championship is a first right now. I don’t know about the salary thing but he could go west. What about OKC? lol
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:14pm #176518
Stanford hoopsParticipanti would say..good for the knicks..if he doesnt come to the knicks what would u say is the big question…see im not a knicks or miami fan so itdoesnt affect me either way..my lakers will still be good with the team we have
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:16pm #176520

Knicksboy34ParticipantI wanted Hill…..I never liked Curry
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:17pm #176521

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantI thought you want Holiday. I see him getting picked number 8 in like every of your mock drafts.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:17pm #176522
knicksfan7ParticipantWhat makes you think O’Neal and Haslem stay??? O’Neal has an expiring contract, so he is playing for one last big contract (4 years $40million area), Haslem is still young and if he has a big season will get a big contract (6-7 years in length), and they will have to sign Wade and Lebron that is a lot of contract talks with agents. O’Neal will go elsewhere looking for a big deal whether or not he gets it is another story. Haslem is going to get something similar to David Lee possibly. I just don’t see Lebron going to Miami b/c they have so many guys leaving (more than the Knicks). You also got the draft which is said to be so deep so we’ll see.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:20pm #176526

Knicksboy34ParticipantNo, I wanted Hill but I read he was huge on NY’s board. I liked him but I wanted Hill.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:22pm #176530
Stanford hoopsParticipantim pretty sure..they could find some replacements for them.easily..like jordan and pippen..just find players to fit around…….much better team then knicks i mean lebron wade and insert whatever to the pf center
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:24pm #176531
Stanford hoopsParticipanti know its hard to hear he doesnt has new york number one on his list like ya’ll want him to
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:24pm #176532

Knicksboy34Participantthat not true. if the Knicks add James and Stoudemire or Johnson and another low level PG ( maybe Sessions), that would be better than Miami with James, Wade and whoever…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:28pm #176535
J-CHRISTOSParticipantCurry reminds me so much of Trajen Langdon JJ Redick Shawn Respert players like that, don’t be surprise if(I stress if)he is not that good,he played in a weak conference, remember Kurt Thomas led the nation in scoring and rebounding, and look at him now
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:28pm #176536
Stanford hoopsParticipantwell i guess he doesnt see it that way….just stating the facts…..the same as how if he would have told his first the knicks are first ya’ll would be rejoicing and singing a different tune..but since he didnt name the knicks it just cant be true
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:28pm #176537

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantJust wondering is Isiah Thomas still with Knicks Management? I know he is coaching a college team for free but I don’t remember him actually getting let go by the Knicks?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:31pm #176540
knicksfan7ParticipantHe was never let go by the Knicks he was working as like a scout for the knicks. He does have a great eye for talent, just no clue how to be a GM.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:31pm #176541

CLYDE-frazier10Participantin 2010 knicks are going to have enough cap to sign 2 superstars. You can already assume their getting amare. If they get rid of curry’s contract and jeffries contract that wud give them money to sign 2 or 3 more role players. that will give lebron a lot more talent compared to nj
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:35pm #176551

CLYDE-frazier10Participantwill b thi
pg-nash
sg- chandler
sf- LBJ
pf-hill
c-amare0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:36pm #176553

knicksfreakParticipantI have never been a believer that Lebron is coming to the Knicks. I really dont see him leaving his hometown where he will make more money under contract to go somewhere else. A move like that would make him a hated figure in Ohio. I dont think he could live with that. I also dont think that Wade is leaving Miami. I think Amare is better than Bosh too. I think a reunion of Stoudemire, Johnson and Nash is realistic for next year. Thats not my first choice though.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:37pm #176554
Stanford hoopsParticipantlol….man ya’ll knicks fans are die hard in youre beliefs reguardless what a player says…thats a true fan
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:38pm #176556

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantI really doubt you can get James, Amare, and Nash. Maybe 2 of the 3 but definitely not all.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:40pm #176562
Stanford hoopsParticipantdont worry blazer fan…ny isnt even number one on his list..this is more liek a fantasy convo at this point or a i really really hope chat
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:40pm #176565
knicksfan7ParticipantIf he leaves it is b/c he wants to win and feels that cleveland isn’t doing what it takes to win. He could go to where ever he feels he has the best chance to win. I hope Lebron becomes a Knick, but I won’t believe it until he signs a contract with the Knicks. I like Bosh over Amare. My ideal starting 5 for the Knicks would be
PG- Nash (mid-level exception)
SG- D-Wade
SF-LBJ
PF-Lee
C- HillChandler becomes the 6th man. I would hate to see Chandler leave he is a super star waiting to happen.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:44pm #176570

Knicksboy34Participantjosh you feel like everything is a fantasy convo if you disagree lol
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:44pm #176571

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantand I want my blazers to have:
C:Oden (Dont sleep on him, if he’s healthy he is better than Bynum)
PF: Aldridge (he will be a 20 and 10 guy)
SF:James (well Nike HQ is here…)
SG: Roy(close to his hometown)
PG: Rose (I just like him lol)0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:47pm #176578
Stanford hoopsParticipantthat would be alot of peoples ideal..but if miami cant afford to have wade bron and haslem then im pretty sure the knicks cant afford wad brong and lee….and we all no that no one is going to take that horrible contract that curry has…whats very funny is alot of knicks fan say curry is horrible and wont get in shape but as soon as there was mention of them haveing enough money to sign a coupel of players if they trade him the same fans were saying..hes gonna be in great shape this year and hes gonna work so much harder and be so much better…another thing is this is all in hopes that the knicks will gfet this that or another player not that they will so hold ya’ll horses..realisticlly the knicks best chance will be a boozer bosh joe johnson free agent as of right this moment lebron and wade is out of reach…maybe bron could change his mind peopel have been knonw too but he likes miami and cleveland more then he likes the knicks righ tnow..and ya’ll forget shaq comes off the bookes next year so they can sign another star freeagent just like the knicks will
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:49pm #176580

Knicksboy34Participantyou say that but then you continue to bash NY fans because we believe LBJ will come here…lol
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:51pm #176583

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantlol..i think a knicks fan gave u a negitive point…its funny that if lebron would have told dru that hes leaning towards the knicks over miami instead of vice versa they would be alot happier and if someone said …well miami has more to offer or someother thing they would say ” well his best friend said he wants to be a knick over miami”…whats lost in this is that he also said cleveland is his first choice and they will have the money to sign him and nother star free agent…so miami and knicks fans will more than likely very dissappointed…i understand that ya’ll want youre teams to have him and ya’ll are fans but deep down ya’ll know ya;ll arent being realistic and going more on the FANatic side instead of the realist side
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:55pm #176587
Stanford hoopsParticipantcurious…what exacly have i said that has based the knicks???..so saying facts which are against lebron comming to the knicks bashing them now?….i dont remeber saying the knicks arent a good fit or they are sorry or a very bad organizition..so please inlightin me on what i said bashing the knicks?…or the fans
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 4:57pm #176591
Stanford hoopsParticipantas far as bashing the fans..what havbe i said to bash them also…is it because the knicks arent tops on lebrons list even though his best friend and other friends were told by him that they arent tops on his list..if it was the other way around ya’ll would take it as great news..but since it doesnt benifit the knicks its skepticisim
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 5:00pm #176595

knicksfreakParticipantI love Chandler but he isnt a superstar waiting to happen.
If we re-sign Lee then there is no way we could possibly get Wade and Bron. (they’re not coming anyways)
Nash will be going on 38.
Personally I think the Knicks should make the following moves this year;
-sign Gerald Green to min/ 1 or 2 year deal
-try to sign Ramon Sessions for MLE
-sign and trade Lee for expiring contracts and 2010 first rounder
-Get rid of Jeffries’ contract in a Nate sign and trade(if rumors are true to Sac)
The Knicks better not settle on just anybody in 2010 because more good free agents will be available in 2011
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 5:01pm #176596

Stanford hoopsParticipantthat sounds like a good plan knicksfreak…a realistic knicks fan….im sure they well get a second tier star or 2..i know currys contract will still be there and who ever they trade for lees contract will be there unless the player is in his last year…come to think of it ya’ll have a couple problems that need to be sorted out
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 5:16pm #176613

Knicksboy34ParticipantOh. If LBJ did not come to NY. I would not be upset at all. I would be a little sad but not upset. I think we could add superstars regardless and LBJ would be one off the list. No problem to me.

Stanford hoopsParticipantone word…lakers…lol…just saying that makes me smile

Knicksboy34ParticipantKnicksfreak…am i not a realistic knicks fan?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 5:37pm #176648

knicksfreakParticipantFor the most part. But you do have some eccentric moments. Actually thats usually just in these collaborative drafts with your crazy trades haha.
You have freedom to your own opinion about Lebron. I just dont see him leaving Cleveland.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/05/2009 - 7:38pm #176754
CavsDawgParticipanthe’s not going to New York.
Knick fans will make up all the comments they want because them getting Lebron is their only chance, except they’re not going to get Lebron and they’re going to continue to miss the playoffs in a crappy eastern conference because they have a GM who spends ridiculous amounts of money on players not worth it and gets a gimmick offensive coach to put fans in the stands but not a quality team on the floor….
he has more advertising options playing for the Cavs because of the Chinese investors and he’ll never be a 30 million dollar player if he leaves Cleveland.
Idiots say it’s all about the money and thats why he’ll leave, except idiots don’t realize that once you leave a team, your bird rights start new. Michael and possibly Kobe are the only players to make 30 million in 1 season, if Lebron never leaves Cleveland, he’ll be the next 30 million dollar player

CavsDawgParticipantoh yeah, he feels he isn’t going to win in Cleveland so he’ll go to New York?
Knicks haven’t won a title since 1973 so it’s not exactly like they’ve put together a team that can win in almost 40 years…..

BosteritoParticipantWhat makes you think O’Neal and Haslem stay??? O’Neal has an expiring contract, so he is playing for one last big contract (4 years $40million area), Haslem is still young and if he has a big season will get a big contract (6-7 years in length), and they will have to sign Wade and Lebron that is a lot of contract talks with agents. O’Neal will go elsewhere looking for a big deal whether or not he gets it is another story. Haslem is going to get something similar to David Lee possibly. I just don’t see Lebron going to Miami b/c they have so many guys leaving (more than the Knicks). You also got the draft which is said to be so deep so we’ll see.
O’Neal and Haslem already signed extension or are already commited to the heat.

Stanford hoopsParticipantnot shaq oneal jermaine oneal..just going by what a couple of his friends including his best frien said as well as what he said on espn awhile back

NYKnicksuperFanParticipantu say the Knicks havnt won in a while… well youve never won so its not like LBJ is leaving a dynasty steeped in tradition
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 2:32pm #177346

gatorheelsParticipantThe Cavs suck point blank. Their supporting cast is trash. LeBron doesn’t want to stay in Cleveland his whole career where everyyear they make the playoffs but never come away with the championship. This is just my opinion based on what I think LeBron will do. His first choice is the Knicks, 2nd choice is the Nets. I think he ends up in MSG.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 3:18pm #177385
Stanford hoopsParticipantfirst is cleveland second miami third nets fouth knicks..personally i think hell stay in cleveland since they will have the cap space to resing him and add another super star
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 3:20pm #177388

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantWow you have his 4th option NY? You hate the Knicks or something lol?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 3:26pm #177392

gatorheelsParticipantyeah the Cavs might have the money to add a superstar but no one wants to come to cleveland….this years free agency has proved that…they couldnt get artest, ariza, hedo, rasheed etc… They will have to re-sign Varejao and may pickup anthony parker. that isnt going to win it all
New York is a much more attractive place. Bigger market, bigger stage, better supporting cast, better coach, better system, etc…
This isn’t a biased opinion either….I really dont care where LeBron goes. I just see him with the Knicks.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 3:27pm #177394
Stanford hoopsParticipantno i actually kinda like the knicks..just basing it off of what he told his friends..personally i could care less where he goes
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 3:55pm #177428

knicksfreakParticipantDid you really bring up championships? Thats an arguement you cant even attempt to win. I agree that Lebron wontcome to the Knicks but that is definitely not because the Cav’s have a better supporting cast. If Lebron doesnt win this year then he has a good chance of having Patrick Ewing Syndrome if he stays in Cleveland. For you that dont know; Patrick Ewing Syndrome is when you have one great player that makes a team good every year but not good enough. Then you arent bad enouh either to get good talent in the draft. You stay in a 2nd round limbo. Mo Williams is overrated. Z and Shaq are nearing their ends. Nobody else on the roster is anything special.

Stanford hoopsParticipantknicksfreak….to be completely honest patrick didnt win because of that guy down in chicago..he stopped a couple of teams from winning titles…thats the joke out of houston is them sending a ring to him for the two years he (year and a half) he left the game and they won the title…i truley believe they would have one at least one title..there team was pretty good and very tough
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 4:02pm #177436
Stanford hoopsParticipantto be honest as a laker fan i rather play the teams now in the finals including the celtics at full strength with rasheed then those knicks team…gasol probably would get hurt by oakley starks and kobe would fight in one of the games odom would probably get hurt by larry johnson..that team was like a football team out there
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 4:03pm #177438

knicksfreakParticipantPippen was the deciding factor. If we had him and MJ didnt then we would have won a few of MJ’s rings.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 4:07pm #177441
Stanford hoopsParticipantpippen helped but we all know it was because of jordan not pippen..actually didnt it go to game 7 when chi played newyork when jordan was retired?..im pretty sure if jordan was there chi would have won that game
