I know I am going to lose a lot points for this, but I dont care. Just here me out.

If he does end up leaving Cleveland, Chicago, New York or New Jersey would not be in his best interest to sign with. Its not very often that a team that doesn’t have a dominant low post scorer wins titles. If he signed with the Bulls, he and Rose would be a dynamite combo, but Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson are not strong enough down low to cause any real damage. They would have to be a running team, and it the regular season that is great, and could even give them the best record, but running teams usually implode in the playoffs. John Calipari also is not NBA proven. And if they do sign James to a max deal, they won’t have enough money to sign Bosh, Boozer or Amar’e.

If he he goes to the Knicks it wouldn’t be smart either, they have no draft pick this year and will lose David Lee to free agency. Even if they sign Bosh on top of it, they need more of a supporting cast to win titles then just Bosh and Lebron. There is no way the Knicks are trading for Tony Parker, so as of right now Lebron would have a worse point guard then he has in Cleveland. There is also no guarantee that Bosh wants to sign with the Knicks. There are many distractions that come with playing in New York as well as media scrutiny.

The Nets just had one of the worst seasons in pro basketball history. There is no guarantee they will get the #1 pick as of right now, as once again this can only work if Lebron gets Bosh, Boozer or Amar’e. (And Bosh has stated he doesn’t want to be a 2nd fiddle player, even though that would be the best role for him) The Nets are still a young team going through growing pains, and will add another top 5 pick to the equation. So that team is currently in a rebuilding mode and trying to figure out their arena situation. They are way behind as far as title contenders and Lebron would help, but he wouldn’t make them instantly elite.

Miami? Get real, they can’t have two guys on the team making max money and wanting the ball all the time. It’s great for the allstar game but over an 82 game season it would cause chemistry problems when others guy aren’t getting shots and start complaining.

I think he should stay in Cleveland, but if he has his heart set on leaving…….. He should sign with the Clippers. As much as it would suck having Lebron in the western conference, this would be the best career move. The Clippers have a nice young core that could make the playoffs without Lebron. They would have a dominant low post presence to compliment Lebron. Imagine a starting line up of Chris Kaman, Blake Griffin, Lebron James, Eric Gordan and a motivated Baron Davis. As well as DeAndre Jordan, Travis Outlaw and Wes Johnson, Al Fariq Aminu or Xavier Henry coming off your bench. They are all young, and talent and under contract for a few years. Lebron would be playing in a big market, warm city and the Kobe/Lebron hype would be a license to print money. He can still become the global icon he wants to be as the man who put the Clippers on the map.

If it were up to me Lebron would sign with the Raptors, but since there is little chance that is happening, I think the Clippers would be a wise move for him.

(But hopefully he stays in Cleveland)

I will say that the Clippers, on paper, are not a bad to consider. They do have some nice young players and they could compete at a very high level if they had LeBron fill in that wing spot that had been nagging them the past few years. But, what I mean by variables, is that the Clippers have a lot of unknowns that lead to a very high margin for error. First, they have no coach, but, the same can be said of Cleveland and Chicago, so I do not think that has much weight. But, the even higher margin for error, is the team itself. While I hate predicting player injury, you have to factor that in on the Clippers. Baron has had significant injuries that make you wonder if he can return to being the hardest PG to defend in the league. Chris Kaman is consistently injured, and his performance is somewhat errattic, and even though he was in the same draft class as LeBron, he is not getting younger. Than, you have Blake Griffin, who could be a major selling point, but leaves you freaked out as he has yet to play a single game in the league after having a Greg Oden like injury that kept him out during his rookie year. Now, are these things the end all be all? No, but they have to make you think twice.

Also, Eric Gordon and Baron Davis in the back court. Now, if I am LeBron James, I would maybe not want to have the match-up liabilities that plagued Clevelands perimeter the past couple years with undersized guards. Granted, Davis and Gordon are much more talented versions of Williams and West, but that also has to make you wonder. The bench even leaves you worried, as none of those players has proven a thing other than that they put up numbers when given a chance, and give up more to whom ever they are guarding. The Clippers play defense the same way the Warriors play defense, and, I guess that just means they do not play it well. The final nail in the Clipper coffin is the ownership. Now, I know I have many a post harping on Donald Sterling, and I do not know the man personally, but everyone knows his reputation. When he says “I will do anything to make the Clippers contenders”, I think the quote was ended by an automatic laugh track. His word holds little meaning, and his inability to maintain his teams and maintain solid basketball personnel is the reason why LeBron should be staying the hell away from his organization. I do not mean to offend fans, players, or anyone connected with the organization, but when teams are “cursed”, it usually for many good reasons. If the Clippers get LeBron James and win multiple championships, be the first person to say “Mike was wrong, what an idiot.” But, I think the chances are that the Clippers will do as much to remain contenders as they usually do. At least nothing is what they are used to doing.

i think your dissmising new jersey too soon, i dont think hell go there but thats the best destination. if he goes to new jersey he’ll have a low post scorer in brooke lopez and an established point guard in harris. also if they win the lottery they can get john wall then trade harris for another solid role player.even if they dont win the lottery they can still get evan turner. so they can do all this and still sign some one like chris bosh or sign and trade for him. new jersey has endless posiibilities in the offseason. and they have a russian mark cuban for an owner(whos richer than cuban by the way)so money isnt an issue. however theyr not moving to brooklyn for 2 more years so no one wants to play in newark.but the nets are deffinetly the place to sign if your a free agent this summer. i bet anyone anything that they make the playoffs next year.

If the Nets win the lottery they trade Harris because you have John Wall???Espn makes me sick with the hype they put on Wall…John Wall is better than Harris and will not be for at least 3 to 4 years…D.Harris was the toast of the NBA after the Kidd trade and was injured most of last year…Harris is faster, shots better from 3 and plays better team D than Wall today…going Forward with a Rookie point leading the way isn’t always that smart…they’d be best to trade the pick for Vets and possible star to surround Free Agent signings…Wall will be exiting in the fast break but that does not mean he’s better than D.Harris who dominated point guards 2 years ago and was a lock to be a top 5 point guard…Wall is a mystery and could flop big time….Why are people so blinded by the Hype…He could not lead a stacked team to final 4 or elite 8 ….Wow I smell a bust…..

i agree that wall could be a bust but harris is always injured even when he was in dallas. so if you have a chance to get wall you do it. it doesnt mean you have to trade harris but its a possibility. you allways look to improve and if trading harris away means that then do it. if not wall can be instant offense of the bench and learn from harris.
