The8thDeadlySinParticipantSerious question here. Let’s say Lebron and Bosh both leave. Who plays fo me the Heat next year? Wade will most likely resign because of the money he was promised (you don’t opt out of 42 mil over 2 years without the promise of more), but who else?
That gives you Cole, Wade, Granger, Ennis, McRoberts, and Napier. Who else will want to go to Miami if Lebron is out? Not Ariza or Deng. Gasol would just laugh. I don’t know what the deal is with Bledsoe but maybe they could swing that? I would imagine the Heat wouldn’t want to bring back Oden since he fizzled out. Do they resign Beasley, let him average 30 a game and trade to some sucker for players? I know there are free agents everywhere and they can fill out a roster but are you seriously going to surround a broken Wade with guys like Marion, Beasley, and Oden? How do you sell that to people? Are you rebuilding while paying Wade 14 million a year for the next 5 years? Here is the best lineup I can come up with.
PG: Cole – Already under contract.
SG: Wade – Assume he is resigned for 14 mil a year for 5 years.
SF: Marion – Over pay him to return to Wade. Warm weather and lots of money make losing okay.
PF – Beasley – Hope and pray he can do something positive so he can be traded.
C: McRoberts – He will get destroyed at center but who else is even an option?

Hector_Reyes_8ParticipantKhaled at center, Wayne at SF, and Biebs at point. Take that, bandwagon f***s. BUT SERIOUSLY, I have no clue. Maybe Ariza and Haslem at the forwards with McBob “manning” the middle? If the two prima-donnas leave, the Heat are in a bad position of not being the worst team in the East but not being contenders ie Atlanta Hawks.

morestealsthanscoresParticipant…they do exactly what they after their last run- bottom out and start again. Don’t resign any of the veterans, hold Wade out of 20-30 games for any excuse whatsoever, try and find gold in the vast undrafted pool, take a risk on some young talents. But in general, I’d be jumping on the tankapalooza to get a top 5 pick, because I quietly think that there are 2-3 gamechangers in the draft next year.
Sad but true.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI think that Heat pick to Cleveland is top 10 protected right? If it is not protected then that could be a total disaster.
If the Rockets TRADE for Chris Bosh then the Rockets could get Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik then the Heat should have some guys to work with.
Hey, then they might want to go after Chandler Parsons as a fill in guy and a solid free agent signing.
Then go after a solid, athletic power forward like Ed Davis who can defend pick and rolls.
This team would be ok:
Starters
PG Jeremy Lin
SG Dwyane Wade
SF Chandler Parsons
PF Josh McRoberts
C Omer Asik
Bench
PG Norris Cole
SG Shabazz Napier
SF Danny Granger
PF Ed Davis
C Birdman
Reserves
SG James Jones
SF James Ennis
PF Udonis Haslem

220ParticipantOmer Asik is already going to New Orleans for a future first round pick. That deal is supposed to be completed July 10
