Do you think that the Jazz would possibly pass on Jimmer if he fell to them at 12??

Say they pick Kanter at 3 like is rumored.. AND, Alec Burks is still on the board, would they go for the dynamic 2 guard in Alec or the local PG in Jimmer??

I think you take him..Good PR move… And they need some type of buzz..Katner will not bring buzz to Utah alone..

Well if they go with Brandon Knight at #3 then it would be wiser to go pair him up with Alec Burks. But if Kanter is selected at #3 ( or anyone other than a PG) then there is no way you let Jimmer gets pass at #12.

I feel like Alec would be the better fit and I feel like he is more a sure thing… I mean look around the league… How many white PGs with a nice shot stick around??? Dont think I am being racist but thats just how it goes.. The league is littered with long, athletic SGs that can defend and have the potiental to be a PG/SG/SF..

I’d say 70% chance they take him in that scenario. If Kemba Walker slips that low it will complicate the decision too. Personally, I think Jimmer would fit in well with the Jazz. His playmaking is underrated because he had to score for BYU to be successful. As a backup PG and bench scorer I think he could really help them. Although, I would probably take Chris Singleton in that spot.

I hope they select him. The Jazz need a scoring punch off the bench.

Potential Lineup (and the signings/re-signings are just for the example)

    PG- Devin Harris / Jimmer Fredette / Earl Watson (re-signed; 1 year/$950k)

SG- Gordon Hayward / Raja Bell / Von Wafer (signed; 2 year/$1.9mil)

    SF- CJ Miles (re-signed; 3 years/$14 mil) / Al Thornton (signed; 3 years/$8.6mil) / Jeremy Evans

PF- Al Jefferson / Paul Millsap / Derrick Favors

    C- Enes Kanter / Mehmet Okur / Kyrylo Fesenko (re-signed; 2 years/$2.8 mil)

    Leaves a very crowded frontcourt

There is a chance they don’t take him, because you never know who will slip. If they get Williams some how and someone like Biyombo falls I wouldn’t be surprised if the Jazz took him, I have heard there really high on him.

If the jazz draft Kanter at 3 they gotta trade someone in the frontcourt. Millsap, Jefferson, Favors and kanter would all need playing time. Maybe Jefferson and the 12th pick to Indiana for Granger and the 15th pick. This would work out great for both teams giving the jazz a go to scorer and leting Paul George start at his natural three spot.
