Do you all agree with me on that.?

If Portland decides to go with Lillard at 6, I think GSW and TOR both will not pick Drummond, and he will fall into the Pistons lap, which would make a nice frontcourt.

I think GS can pick Drummond cuz I know he is hogh on their draft board as an insurance for bogut. I dont think TOR will pick another young center so if Drummond does get passed by GS then i will agree that Detroit is his final spot of any draft fall

Highly doubt he passes  6, but if he does, Toronto will scoop him up.  Colangelo mentioned that in an interview on Raptors.com

considering Greg Odens injury history and Kurt Thomas’s age, I just don’t see him falling past #6(although I’d love to see it being a Pistons fan).

No way he gets past golden state who need frontcourt depth, who else will Portland pick at six besides Drummond

If I’m the Blazers, and Drummond is available at 6, I take him no questions asked.  There’s still the possibility that Lillard falls to them at 11, and if not, they can try to sign Steve Nash, who apparently wouldn’t mind playing in Portland.  That’s a playoff team right there if everyone stays healthy.

Drummond will slide 7 to the GSW no way he slips all the way to 9

I hope some of you tards team do draft drummond.

Portland: So they can lose out on drafting PG Damien Lillard

GSW: So they can pay BOgut 13 mil, and David Lee 12+ mil each, and draft Drummond to turn into the next Minnesota TImberwolves

Toronto: So they too can be like Minnesota Timberwolves #5 Jonas Valc, Andrei Bargani, and Drummond all in the front court. They can have 6 players in the starting lineup

Detriot : Turn Greg Monroe Center into a PF, or better yet turn Drummond into a PF rofl

The most logical would be NO #10, and Portland trying to get him at #11. Each team above loses if they draft him.

If your team’s not a winner you draft best player available. Is that Drummond? According to consensus opinion, yes. Just because you have a lot of money tied up in a couple of players who play the same position doesn’t mean you draft on need. That’s how you end up with busts, players who fill a need who were drafted way too high.

I’m not saying Drummond will turn out to be a beast or a bust, just saying that it’s not about drafting for a position when you have holes in a lot of positions. And Drummond’s so high potential that you can’t really pass up on him. At the very least, Drummond has trade value even if he doesn’t start. A valuable trade chip is, the last time I checked, something that’s actually kind of useful. You don’t "lose" if you have a valuable trade chip that other teams want.

As for the Warriors, if they pass on Drummond I’d be pissed. Or are David Lee and Andrew Bogut supposed to play 48 minutes every night just because they’re being paid that much? What happens if one of them gets injured? Do the Warriors turn to the oh-so-wonderful remains of Andris Biedrins or the super raw Jeremy Tyler?

Im not saying the Blazers wont pick him, but I could see them passing on him.  They really need a PG and the best one in this draft is Lillard.  He wont be avaliable for them at the 11th pick but there will probably be more big men at there.  They could pick Lillard and then Leonard or Zeller depending on who is there.

Not saying they will pass on him but I could see them not picking him. If the Blazers pass, the Warriors would be more than happy to snag him since Bogut is bound to get hurt..

Considering the Warriors were willing to shell out serious money for DeAndre Jordan last offseason, I doubt they pass up Andre Drummond who will be nearly at DeAndre’s level as soon as he steps on the court
