Since this thread adds nothing that wasnt posted uber-recently…surely I get a free pass to go off topic.

Has anyone played draft kings. Is it good?

football (just my opinion) – I luv Seasonal fantasy football… I didn’t gamble much, mainly played Dollar Leagues… but I got bored pretty quick after playing over the Christmas Holidays Last year – Definitely worth a try if you are interested & it doesn’t cost much – but if you have any gambling issues –

Interesting. So ESPN’s really a gambling company now too.

They dont make it look like gambling on the advertisements…more like "prizes".

I do have gambling issues, so I’ll avoid haha.

if you have had gambling issues… & I don’t say that w/ any negative connotations… I had a drinking issue when I was younger so I stopped hanging in bars – so no judgement here…. but it is Def gambling… It kind of reminded me of slots machines in one way in that you can play penny or nickel slots if you want but you can also play $100 & $1,000 slots too…. But in another way it was just like using the neighborhood bookie to place bets meaning there was always "Vig" on all bets…

When I was on there I would play $1 dollar "Leagues" but there were Leagues (I forget the exact amounts) that were like $4, $8, $16, $30 all the way up to like $250 Leagues and then just in the 2 months I was on there suddenly it jumped to $520, $1060 Leagues & you could play in a 20 person League, a 10 person, 5 person, all the way down to 1 VS 1….

So if you & I each picked a team & played head to head for a $1,080 & you beat me & collect $1,000 in your account & DK makes $80 for "Hosting" well that’s the same as the "Vig" w/ any regular bookie… So anyone who says it’s not gambling probably never gambled b/c it reminded me 100% of the local bookie who took bets when I was younger… I can’t remember the exact amounts of the Leagues, but the odd #’s are b/c that’s the "Vig" or DK’s share (I know you know what "Vig" means I explained it for anyone reading who doesn’t know gambling terms…)

So, 25,000 points divided by 4 is 6,250 points per quarter.

However, LBJ has scored in Q4, and OT a total of 5,108 points in his career.

He has led his team every year in Q4 and OT points, except in 2010-11 (2nd to Wade), and 2011-12 (2nd to Bosh).

His best year was in 2007-08, where he scored 592 points in Q4, OT, at an average of 9.1 points per quarter.

His worst year (excluding the 20 pts he has this year so far), was back in 2011-12 for the Heat, where he scored 233 pts, at an average of 5.17 pts per quarter.

This is likely due to the fact that he only played 62 games that year, and played in 45 Q4, OT’s (well below his career average of 61.3 games played in Q4).

So I just realised, I had no stats on FT’s by quarter.

So they were excluded in the calculations.

By Quarter, LBJ in terms of % of total points.

      Q1 – 28.5%

      Q2 – 19.9%

      Q3 – 28.07%

      Q4 and OT – 23.48%
