i’m jus so offendedParticipantSo this is David Aldridge’s mock draft. If you don’t want to take the time to look at it just know that he put Kemba Walker at # 21 to Portland and Jimmer at 30 to the Bulls. Keep in mind that he put NOLAN SMITH at 15 to the Pacers!!!….shtupid than a mug….THEN TO TOP IF OFF HE HAS JOSH HARRELSON GOING IN THE 1ST ROUND!!!!!!!! I thought this dude was like a well informed NBA insider….i’ll spell it out, SHAKIN’ MY HEAD…

MagikKnickParticipantBut keep in mind, its very early..guys like DA and Chad Ford are just putting mocks out their to keep their ‘ratings’ up, the further we go alone the more "accurate" their mock drafts’ll be

Memphis MadnessParticipantJimmer on the Bulls would be kind of neat. Then they could go small sometimes with Jimmer and D-Rose in the backcourt.

i’m jus so offendedParticipanti don’t know what you mean by "ratings" but any mock David Aldridge puts out the rest of his time covering the NBA i will automatically tune out. I’d rather sift through Wardb12’s awful mocks than DA’s

McDunkinEthered – Any situation where you think somebody won a battle, where it is open to discussion. But usually is only used when there is a clear cut winner.

JJeff6ParticipantMarkieff Moris to Wiz at 6? No Kenneth Faried in the first round?? Droppin B-Knight to 7?? Idk where he gets this stuff lol. you guys already mentioned Jimmer and Nolan Smith being in rediculous places, idk what hes thinking.

His center rankings suck that he posted yesterday…. He had Harrelson as the third best center and Jordan Williams as the tenth best behind guys like Harrelson, Michael Dunigan, Rick Jackson, Greg Smith and Nikola Vucevic. He had Vucevic 4th, I mean I know this class is weak but not that weak……

apb540ParticipantWho does he work for? Enough said.

aamir543ParticipantHe has Valencias going before Kanter? Im confused. And yes Aldrige is retarded. Fredette in my opinion is a mid first round talent, a good rotation player, and possible a starter, but no more than that. But Aldrige has him at 30th!!! I dont think he will fall past Utah at 12, and he has Kemba falling past the Knicks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TeamShowtimeLakersParticipantyea its still early but DA does has some serious explaining to do about some of those CRAZY ass picks!

ilike.panochasParticipantAldridge doesn’t cover college as much as he does NBA, so I can’t take his college scouting/mock draft seriously. He has Nolan Smith rated ahead of Kemba Walker…thats just absurd.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipant"I mock out of protest.
The folks at NBA.com asked me to put a mock draft together after Tuesday night’s Lottery. I hate mock drafts. There are people who spend months doing these things, and they always get 80 percent of the selections wrong — not because they don’t know enough, but because they may know too much. People tell you things, and you tend to believe them, even though a) they may well be lying, and b) they have no idea what the other 29 teams are thinking, because those other 29 teams are lying to them just like they’re lying to you. So the whole notion of predicting accurately five weeks before the actual Draft is, to me, lunacy.
Keep in mind that these picks do not correlate with the rankings on my Big Board. Those rankings reflect the opinions of scouts and other personnel types about which players are the best at that given spot going into the Draft, not the order in which they’ll be taken."
Clap clap clap clap clap clap
I cannot find fault with what he put forth when he is simply going off what he hears when that is all this site and every other site does. People have different guys and people hear different things. How can someone get upset when someone with unquestioned, excellent contacts in the league runs with what he is hearing. He isn’t selling it as though he is a genius, so why get upset? Get upset when people are trying to tell you something that is just flat wrong or ignoring facts. This is nothing to get worked up over.

butidonthavemoneyI actually respect Aldridge a little more than I used to.
Nolan Smith at 15 makes a lot of sense actually. If the Pacers really are looking for a backup guard as suggested, they take a safe player with a well-rounded skill-set. The Pacers have been known to become enamored with high-character players from winning programs.
The Jimmer’s stock has reportedly been slipping. If that trend continues, he could fall back into that bubble-1st round status. Walker at 21 seems unlikely, but somebody always falls.
I’m not saying I agree with everything he says but like BothTeams mentioned, Aldridge is a professional who built a mock draft using the information his sources were giving him. His mock is worth about as much as any other mock you can find.

butidonthavemoney"He has Nolan Smith rated ahead of Kemba Walker…thats just absurd."
He clearly mentioned that his mock was NOT a big board.
He actually rates Kemba Walker ahead of Nolan Smith and even Brandon Knight.
