sheltwon3ParticipantYou have to give team an opportunity to show that it was not just about schedule.
What New Orleans is doing is remarkable because their schedule has not been a cake walk.
What Miami is doing was expected to me because they lack chemistry and had a tough early schedule.
Cleveland had a pretty easy schedule save for the Boston game they won and everyone forgot that Cavs may not even get 30 wins and started saying playoffs.
Knicks looked good but then Chemistry problems got them and then they regained form for the last few games.
A few days and 2 less wins ago people were really digging into New York and now with a win against the weak Clippers and Cleveland most likely losing to the Spurs.
Both game are back to back so it will be tough. New York will take Cleveland spot and Cleveland will fall out of the top 8 teams in the East unless Bucks falter again..
New York despite it’s early issues is an above .500 team as of now but Cleveland is not.
Miami is still a 55 to 60 win team despite looking bad because of chemistry issues.
Boston I still a great playoff team and an average season team.
You have to allow time for some teams to gel. Alot of veterans team don’t need that.
People were getting excited about Minny even though their team is losing. I knew and said pretty much everything that has happened. I was not the only one so it is obvious most people knew Beasley would be the leading scorer, Love would be the leading rebounder, and Darko would look like he could play in the scope of a 1st round pick but not better than the guys in the draft behind him who are superstars.
NONE of this is shocking. Most people knew this and Kahn is still dumb for not making moves to put better players around this trio and also getting more back from the Al Jefferson trade. I knew they would trade him the year Love got draft yet it took them 2 years to figure that out.
I am glad Sacramento acted more swiftly with the Kevin Martin/Tyreke Evans situation even though Martin is putting up good numbers just like he did in Sac before Evans, they were not a good pairing.

sheltwon3Participantin the regular season except for the first one with the big 3 , they have played average if you look at their record for good teams. Obviously they are better than the terrible teams but they don’t dominate like you would expect Finals contender to do. Spurs used to be the same way as they got older but were still good enough to make it to the Finals. Now they may be too old but they tend to be average in the regular season and yet be a nightmare come playoff time. They tend to be middle of the back of playoff teams or at the 6 th spot.
I think maybe because of expetation for Final’s team, me saying average could be misinterpreted but I have seen them play and they just seem to be cruise mode right now.

boxn1ParticipantBoston will spend the greater part of this season working in new players, defining Nate Robinson’s role, and staying healthy. Miami will win 50-55 games this year, who they beat and how they beat them is something different. Minnesota has some talent, as a team that has drafted in the lottery for 5 straight years should, their gm has a plan, dunno if it will work, but it’s his plan. The knicks are gonna make the playoffs this year…I think…..

sheltwon3ParticipantAfter the firt 6 seeds in the East, there are 2 spot left to grab and Knicks can easily beat out Indiana and Charlotte if they play like they should. Washington could be in the mix but they have struggled early on but have look good without Wall and Arenas playing more.

stanford hoopsI don’t agree about the knicks can easily win the spot if they play like they should. That can be said about any team ” if they play like they should”. Cuz if teams play like they should, they should make the playoffs. The knicks aren’t clearly better then the pacers by watching the teams play. Looking better on paper doesn’t count. The knicks will be in a dog fight with the pacers and another team but the facts is neither team is good and both will more then likely finish below .500
