llperezI watched most of the pacers/vs spurs game last night. The spurs won by 13, but it was a very close game throughout. The pacers were only down 1 at the half and down 3 entering the 4th then the spurs took over down the stretch.
Roy Hibbert-dude looks like he could be an all-star very soon. 28 points on 10-17 shooting and 8-8 from the foul line. He also grabbed 9 boards and blocked 3 shots while altering a few others. He still has a weak base which allows him to get pushed around down low, but his skill set both with post moves and shooting perimter shots is very solid.
Darren Collison-He looks like he is right at home as a starter getting 20 points on 7-13 shooting and handing out 7 assists. He pushes it well and gets into the lane and has a solid outside shot.
Granger got about 26 points and mcroberts was effective on the offenisve end doing a little bit of everything and not forcing the issue. Defense is still an issue and the bench needs to continue to improve. BUt i think with the trio of dc, roy and danny granger they have a promising future.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI think Rush should start at the 2 guard. It adds size and athletic ability to this team. If Paul George, Lance Stephenson, McRoberts, and Rush pan out and become decent players, this team will be nice in about 2-3 years.

omphalosParticipantStephenson needs to sort out his off-court troubles before he’ll make it in the L. Pacers would be giving him minutes if it weren’t for his most recent run in with the law. I heard the case got moved back to February, I wonder if they’ll play him before then.
But agreed on the Pacers and Hibbert in particular looking much improved. I’d like to see George get more minutes; he’s raw, but he needs to learn and throwing him to the fire would be best this season. The real problem the Pacers have is depth, their starters are good, but bench is average at best. Oh well.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantThey have 3 solid pieces in Granger,Hibbert & Collison…Some promising young players in George,Stephenson & Rush..Plus the expiring contract of Jeff Foster..Getting a inconsistent player like Brandon Bass will not solve their power forward problem…

marcusfizer21Participantmakes the team watchable now… They have a young and exciting PG who can penetrate and shoot… He’s the point man for the Pacers… It’s a small step to maiking them relevant again… Yes, they didn’t get Wall which I really had hoped for but they got the next best opportunity which was Collison..

IndianaBasketballParticipantFeeling really good about the Pacers right now. I don’t know if they’ll make the playoffs, but the pieces fit really well.
Collison, Granger and Hibbert all compliment each other well. Now, we just need to find our two and four.
