Snatalini247Participantit seems like theres such a large amount of buzz this year, which is really pathetic considering this is probably the weakest class i can remember in recent history other than maybe the 2006 class, i feel as though irving would end up being the 5th or 6th pick next year, any thoughts? shall we blame the lockout?

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI think it’s too early to make that call. Sure, if you’re a bad team that needs superstar talent, at first glance this looks like a terrible class, because there really are maybe 2 people with legit superstar potential, and a few others that can be really good. However, if you’re a good team that just needs role players, this looks like it’d be a really good draft, because anywhere after the lottery, there are a bunch of players that’ll be really good for a certain skillset (ie Faried for rebounding, Marshon Brooks for scoring, D. Morris as a pure passer/ poor man’s Andre Miller type).

jacobkeyParticipantI think most drafts that have 3-5 potential superstars aren’t as deep as this one. I think there are a number of late first-second round players that could become solid to very good NBA players.

Prince of BballParticipantWe can blame the pending lockout but lets also give credit to Barnes, the Joneses, Sullinger and the Lambs for not just seeing $signs and going pro early but rather realizing that they still have to develop their games some to reach its full potential before going pro

aamir543ParticipantThe way I look at it, The first five picks in last years draft would have gone number 1 today, but Irving and Williams and Kanter and Knight and possibly Vlanciunas and Vesely all could have gone top ten. So really, the first five picks are missing this year. After that, it is a good draft, but no star power.

Steven12345ParticipantThere’s no way of telling if this draft is weak we’ll only know a couple of years down the road. It may seem like a weak draft but some of these players have all star potential and you say 2006 was a weak draft but some good players came out of there like Lamarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy, Rudy Gay, Rajon Rondo and the rest of that draft had some good role players … It think this draft will have more all stars than 06 …

PrecociousNeophyteParticipantOut of the 2010 draft and this draft I think this one will be the better draft overall. I think John Wall will end up being the best player out of both drafts but the 2011 draft will be better then you think.

esperanzafleet69Participanti think this draft is really deep in the last first and early second… picks 20-40 are all similarly talented… in most other drafts, theres a huge drop off of talent there..

Andrew1984ParticipantI don’t think there’s a such thing as a bad draft, just bad evaluators of talent. I don’t care whether you’re a GM or some dude on a message board, if you honestly think Jonas Valanciunas is going to be a better NBA player than Jordan Hamilton, Marshon Brooks, Nikola Vucevic, or Marcus Morris, then there is something wrong with your brain and you should obtain some literature as to the benefits of therapy.
