nateoak10ParticipantWHY THE FUX ISNT IBAKA STARTING?

The Splash DocParticipantthe 2nd unit would look weak if he was starting
Krstic-Harden-Maynor doesnt look as good as Ibaka-Harden-Maynor who all make energy plays
Krstic also allows them to match up better at the start of games

nateoak10ParticipantSo the Warriors should bench Biedrins by your logic to make there subs look better……
They have Aldrich there if they really dont want Kristic who sucks anyway to be on the 2nd team then why even play him. Starting Nenad is like starting Radmonovic over Lee

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantBiedrins isn’t an energy guy. You should know this Warriors fan.
But I think Ibaka should start as well, the bench would look more offensive with Maynor, Harden, and Krstic off the bench. I still think they should trade Jeff Green while his stock is still semi high, he’s not a power forward, nor will be ever be a power forward. He’s just like Thad Young.
They need to trade Jeff for maybe a guy like Roy Hibbert, even though I doubt the Pacers would give him up.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThat would actually sound nice for the Kings and the Thunder.
I don’t think the Kings need him though, with Dalembert not going to be resigned, they have enough good and young bigs. Thompson, Landry, Whiteside, and Cousins
And they need a 3pt shooting small forward to compliment Evans and Cousins game.

TheFactionCoalition.comParticipantMaybe, I just think Cousins and Whiteside are there for sure. I think Landry’s deal is over at the end of the season and I don’t know if they will resign him. I’m not so sure they get rid of Dalembert. I think Green opens the floor up better than Thompson does. Although his 3/21 from the 3pt line this year is a little scary. I’m not a huge Thompson fan although I did like the way he rebounded against the Lakers.
Only thing I would worry about if I’m the Kings is Green’s ability to play post up defense. Thompson’s bigger even though he rarely takes advantage of it. I feel like someone needs to steal his girlfriend or something. If he played angry he could be really good. Instead he runs around with that big goofy smile and plays too soft. He needs to tone those arms and get a Kendrick Perkins kinda seriousness to him. Nothing crazy, just beasty.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantYeah I know what you mean, but the thing is Green isn’t much of a PF.. He’s 6’8" 230lbs, he’s not 6’9 or 6’10 how people like to say. Plus, he doesn’t have that savvy about him. That savvy that most undersized power forwards have. (i.e. Paul Millsap, Udonis Haslem, Carlos Boozer, DeJuan Blair)

ChrispyParticipantI love his game, but give him a year. He has made great strides in the past 2 years, so another year of improving his 15-17 foot J will make him deadly. He is a good FT shooter and we have seen him hit an occasional opne jumper so I don’t see why that won’t happen. Give him time-he is still so freaking young, too! Can we put the McGee v. Ibaka arguments from this preseason to rest now?

mj23mj23besteverParticipanti actually thought hed be the starting center allowing nk to provide more scoring punch off the bench i like ibaka alot as well but imo his energy his more useful coming off the bench

SwatLakeCityParticipantBecause Ibaka doesn’t really have an offensive game. I also think the Thunder should start Harden and sit Sefolosha. Sefo may bring a bunch of defense, but I really think the Thunder should give the talented youngster a chance to start. But I guess the Thunder want a sixth man that is a bonefide scorer, and I guess that’s what Harden does.
Probably soon the Thunder are looking to trade both Green and Krstic, for a 4, then start Ibaka because by then he will have a much better offensive game and then bring in Aldrich and Collison off the bench.

HitsterParticipantWith Durant on court then having Sefo start alongside him makes sense as Harden can get much many more shots with the 2nd unit than alongside Durant, Westbrook and Green. If Kristic isn’t delivering then they should start Ibaka or even Aldrich ahead of him.
Has anyone seen if they have paired Ibaka at PF with Aldrich at C during games this season and if this combo works?
