BasketBalAllanParticipantCousins has 14 points and 13 rebounds on 7-10 shooting while playing 22 minutes and the game is getting ready to go into the fourth quarter…

butidonthavemoneyPretty much what we were expecting from Cousins. Robin Lopez was lighting him up on offense, which is also what we expected.
A lot of teams this season aren’t going to have a way to contain Cousins.

stanford hoopsthompson is looking pretty good. i was gonna post about this game after the game. cousins is looking good, i dont think teams will need a answer for him because he wont be dominating although he will be pretty good and the kings wont be a threat really
cousins is struggling on defense which isnt good esspecially since the west have a bunch of other big men who are better then robin on offense and better team defense then the suns

sheltwon3ParticipantKings are looking really good. I am excited to see that Cousins and Evans can at least play well together. Also Cousins is a rebounding machine

BasketBalAllanParticipant16 point and 16 rebounds in about 30 minutes. I cant wait for when I actually get to watch a game.

TheWizardParticipantWas going to wait until the game ended, but Cousins, Thompson and Tyreke had huge games.

TheWizardParticipantHeard this slogan on Kings.com and felt like I had to share it: "Pooh for 2 and Casspi for 3!!!"

JoeWolf1I did not predict Matt Janning outscoring Earl Clark. If Janning makes the roster I have a new favorite underdog end of the bench player!

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantis Cousins going to be a starter?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/05/2010 - 7:07pm #409757

TheWizardParticipantAfter outplaying Carl Landry and Dalembert in summer camp and now preseason with Dalembert out because of an injury I can definitely forsee Cousins starting sooner rather than later.
About him clogging up the lane so Tyreke may not be able to drive as well this year, it is actually doing the opposite. Cousins has established himself as a great jumpshooter already and usually hangs out around the free-throw line to the top of the key. This way, it frees up some space so Tyreke can drive through and so once Tyreke drives, Cousins can run in and try to get an offensive rebound.

stanford hoopsi dont know why someone would think he would clogg up the lane when he can shoot a jumper on top of the lane being big enough for a guard to drive and score or dish. who ever played there before him was int he lane as well. centers/power forwards are always gonna be in the lane at some point or another. that term just make no sense everytime i hear people say it

Mr. 19134ParticipantThe more I see Cousins playing in an NBA setting. I am also convinced not that he is a power forward and not a center. Sure he can play center but he got an amazing perimeter skill set and jump shot for a play his size, not to mention his dribbling and passing are also two things you have too worry about. Playing on that loaded team last year in Kentucky with ball dominant player like John Wall, and Eric Bledsoe, not to mention he only got like 25 minutes a night; people really didn’t get a chance to see just how versatile DMC really is.
This guy got an unthinkable all around game for somebody of his size. His conditioning seems to be not a problem at all either from everything I heard since he;s been through the whole draft process was that his conditioning was tremendous. In fact when the Sixers worked him out, they said Favors was noticeably winded way before Cousins ever even started getting tired and that shocked everybody. I still don’t know how we passed on him for Turners who will be good, but not a top 5 playing at his position from day one with the ability to move up to the top 2, or I am predicting now will eventually surpass Howard as the best Center in the league.

NYK2010ParticipantTeams really stupid to pass on Cousins, esp. Minnesota.

Toronto16ParticipantEspecially with the fact that Wes Johnson is going to be a bust.

mj23mj23besteverParticipantyea with the way cousins is starting out the sixers are gonna greatly regret not taking him i think even more so than the t wolves as i think turner is gonna be a bust cousins seems to be the type whos got that grudge on his shoulder for the teams passing up and a motivated cousins could be the 2nd best center in the league or an upper level pf if they wanna play real big ball with him and sam dal little off subject but id still love too see the kings trade either landry or j thomp for a back court mate for evans

sheltwon3ParticipantCousins if he can stay in shape could be in the argument for the Best player in the draft. A lot of teams were stupid and Sac got them another steal. I am a fan of John Wall but I am saying if Cousins can be a legit dominate Center, it brings up the debate over great big over great small player.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI said it before the draft and will continue to say it.. The Nets should have drafted him as their PF of the future. Him paired with Lopez in the post would have been crazy… Someone look it up.. I said it on more than one occasion..

SteroidParticipantIf something crazy doesn’t derail the Kings, they are looking very good for the future especially if they can happen to pull another high lotto pick this year. OKC is already there for the best young team, but the Kings will be right there in a couple of years.
