Grant Hill deserves to be at least somewhere on the list.

How does Rose get more votes than Bogans and Brewer these votes are pure garbage look at I-block-ya with only 6 votes the guy intimidated people all season long. I have yet to see Rose shut somebody down him and Kobe got the superstar votes

can never truly understand why kobe always gets on this list…he doesn’t have any impact as a weakside defender and isnt a lockdown wing defender either

kobe shouldnt have made 1st team.  He’s a great defender but isnt as quick as he used be.  Lebron has all the tools to be on the 1st team but he takes plays off and doesnt always apply himself the way he should.  Tony Allen is definately a 1st team defender and i would have liked to see Hill or Battier making the 2nd team

No Grant Hill?  That’s highway robbery!

Grant Hill and Tony Allen should be in 1st team, not LeBron and Kobe!  I hate these popularity contests.

Artest and Barnes usually are guarding the other teams best perimeter player so how does kobe get 1st team all defense again? Didn’t think it was a lifetime achievement award. And where’s chuck hayes?

Haha, just piss Tony Allen off some more.  lol

Ironically, the defensive player of the year award rarely goes to the best on-the-ball defender.  It usually goes to the guy who swats the most shots out of bounds (Deke, Ben Wallace, Howard).  "Defensive stats" reward guys who gamble on defense (look to block everything, overplay the passing lanes).

I think "best defensive presence" should be an award with "best defensive player" going to a great on-the-ball and help defender like Scottie Pippen, Nate McMillan, Shane Battier, and Tony Allen.  Gary Payton was great and he won the award once, but he is the exception rather than the rule.  Rodman was a defensive beast but I think he only won the award once.

Glad to see Iguodala FINALLY make an All-Defensive team! This has been deserved since the 2007-2008 season when, in my opinion with as little bias as possible, he was the best perimeter defender in the NBA. It also can be argued in 06-07 he deserved to be on a defensive team as well. But congrats none the less!

Rose?  Great player, but Jeff Teague is about to give Derrick Rose the number of a good travel agent.  If Teague keeps on blowing by Rose, then Rose is gonna be watching the NBA Finals on TV just like everyone else.

Agreed on the Rose comments. He got more votes than russel westbrook which is garbage.

I also think Andrew Bogut should have gotten way more votes than he did. He led the NBA in blocks per game and he is a great help defender taking charges all the time. Hes an underrated defender in my opinion.
