    1.Yao Ming..
Yao said if he’s not fully recovered he might retire..

    2.Greg Oden..
Oden was off to a great start before getting injured in a game against Houston.

3.Blake Griffin..Like Oden,Griffin missed his entire rookie year also due to injuries..But let’s hope & pray both players remain healthy ..Becuz their teams are schedule to meet October 27th..

    4.Tracy McGrady..
T-Mac looked great in his debut with the Knicks last season..But after that game his prduction declined alot..And you could see he was having trouble running up & down the court..With Rip & Gordon ahead of him in the backcourt And Tayshaun ahead of him at the wing..IT’s going to be interesting to see how the Pistons will use him..

    5.Josh Howard..
A torn Ligament in his left knee allowed Howard to play in only 4 games with the Wizards after being traded from Dallas..

    6.Andrew Bogut..
Bogut was playing at an AllStar level before he got hurt..It would’ve been interesting to see how far the Bucks would’ve gotten if he hadn’t got hurt..

    7.Micheal Redd..
Redd makes 17 million dollars a year..I doubt he’ll get that much next season..So he’s really going to have to show teams to can return to the level he was at before the injury..

    8.Joel Przybilla..
Joel injured himself after slipping in his shower..

1 Ming Yao: If you can get 50 games out of him everything more is a bonus.

2 Greg Oden: Has to show why he was picked first.

3 Blake Griffin: Can start and will start, potential ROY candidate/winner.

4 Tracy McGrady:Just like AI, a ballhog who thinks he is a superstar and plays on a D-League level.

5 Josh Howard: Could be a big help for the Wizards ,maybe 2nd or 3rd scoring option.

6 Andrew Bogut: Came back last season from injury to play like an All-star, so this season will be the same.

7 Michael Redd: Will get traded near deadline, will score slightly less.

8 Joel Przybilla: Just another back-up,could care actually how he will be back.

What worries me about Blake Griffin is he goes so hard all the time from attacking the basket to diving for loose balls…I mean thats a good thing to have in any player, let alone someone at his talent level, but i would just be afraid something freakish could happen again with the way he always hustles after everything!

    1. Yao Ming: He’s been cleared to go all out, which is great, but they’ll take it slow with him. IF he can stay healthy, I think Houston is a lock for the playoffs. I hope his situation is similar to Zydrunas Illgauskas’, who also struggled with foot injuries, but was able to get healthy and extend his career.

    2. Greg Oden: Unlike Yao, he hasn’t been cleared to go all out yet, but he’s on schedule. This is a huge season for him. That’s why I like the way Rich Cho has handled this situation. There’s been a lot of pressure on Oden in the past. Cho is easing that pressure by keeping things quiet and making sure Oden only focuses on getting completely healthy.

IF Oden and the Blazers can stay healthy, I think they’ll be legit contenders.

    3. Blake Griffin: Vinny Del Negro has already said Griffin is close to 100% healthy and will start. I’m expecting a big season. He’s going to have to learn how to tone it back though. The season is a marathon, not a sprint.

    4. Tracy McGrady: He’s been working out with great trainers in Chicago and Detroit. I’m rooting for him, but I think the end is near. His knees can no longer take the pounding.

    5. Josh Howard: He tore his ACL, so it’s going to take some time. IF he’s a quick healer, he’ll be a solid offensive option for Washington.

    6. Andrew Bogut: Nasty injury, but once he heals… I expect him to pick up where he left off. The Bucks are a dangerous team.

    7. Micheal Redd: I’m not optimistic. He’s had a lot of knee injuries. He’s no more than just an expiring contract at this point.

    8. Joel Przybilla: I’m not optimistic here either. He ruptured his patella tendon (which was career threatening) and then re-injured it by slipping in the shower. Portland can either move him as an expiring contract or hope that he’s healthy enough to give them another big come playoff time.

    On another note…

I ran into Oden at Dequan Cook’s birthday party in Ohio quite a few months ago. My boy Aaron Pogue (Cleveland State… Check him out this season lol) asked him when was he going to play and he said, “I don’t know… My knee still hurts.” That didn’t stop him on the dance floor though lol. He was getting low and everything.

I thought he looked slim though and the reports are he looks even slimmer now. I have a hard time believing he won’t be ready to start the season.
