This kid’s got guts. How do you guys think he’ll do in the D-League? Do you think he should have gone to college?

I dont know, this could eventually develop into a loophole to skipping college AND overseas

Because at any point during the NBA season, Williams is pretty much a free agent in the NBA, and an NBA team can sign him to a 10-day contract, and then bam…he pretty much went straight from HS to the NBA…
but i dont know, maybe it doesnt work like that?

Anywho, it’ll be interesting to see how he fairs, i think the average D-League competition is better than alot of NCAA teams, because most of those guys have already experience college, and some have even experienced the NBA, so they know what its like, they’ve been there, done that. So it could possibly be really good for him

Yea he should have went to college. He’s not NBA ready at all, and won’t be probably until 2011 or 2012. He’ll be an Al-Farouq Aminu or Devin Ebanks type of player. Sure he’s got raw talent and athletic ability, but he’s a tweener and doesn’t have polished perimeter skills yet. He should’ve went to Memphis.

He wanted to play for Memphis but couldnt because he was not academically eligble.

d leauge would be a pretty dumb alternative to overseas..lets see..25-30 grand max versus 100k or more…and the top highschool guys would go overseas plus they wouldnt be able to sign a 10day contract because the rule is they have to be a year out of hs

He couldn’t get any interest from Euro teams, that’s why he had to settle for the D-League.

dumb move, I think upper tier colleges with stars, have more comp. and there is way way better comp. overseas, plus McDonalds workers get paid more then 30 G’s.
