If you ran your favoriite NBA team, what is the most enticing offer you send for Dwight Howard?

A package with Perk, Harden and some throw ins. Probably Reggie Jackson, draft picks, money, etc.

But I feel Ibaka would play well with Dwight, and I’ll always feel KD is untouchable. As far as Westbrook, if Maynor wasn’t out for the year, I would probably switch his name with Hardens. (I prefer to keep Harden, anyway, but more depth at his position.. we’d be gunning for a Championship THIS year, as well as for the next 5-8).

But, that wouldn’t be enough for Orlando. Which is fine, we don’t need Dwight, anyway.

Steph Curry, Klay, Udoh, and Kawamay Brown’s contract for Dwight and Hedo.

That is not nearly enough for Dwight, but I don’t want to give up Lee and Curry. If they want to throw Ryan Anderson in I have no problem throwing in Lee and Wright, If the money works, I ‘ll add Wright along with Curry in the first deal, without Lee or Anderson, and we could throw in our prospects, like Jenkins and Jeremy Tyler.

Right now, I doubt he gets traded. I think he’ll play out this season and depending on how the Magic do, he’ll either resign or leave. I think that he and Deron Williams end up together either in New Jersey(Brooklyn) or Orlando. It all depends on how the Magic do up until the ASW/ trade deadline imo.

As a Suns fan I would give up the whole roster. It would be nice to keep Frye and Dudley though to compliment him.

This is a tough one, but if I HAD to give up one of the big three, it would be Tony Parker. Then package him w/ James Anderson, Dejuan Blair and some cash considerations…

And for Dwight, THAT’S NOT EVEN ENOUGH.

No f#cking way am I throwing in my banana though!

Have to say, most of them I have seen have sucked @ss. If I were Orlando losing Dwight, I would want to destroy and rebuild through the draft rather than take on veterans with fat contracts. But, who the hell am I? Honestly, if you look at teams who have built from the ground up through the draft, other than those who have been brilliant enough to sign free agents or have Kobe Bryant (well, the Lakers just seem to do well. Much like the Celts. Never keep them down for too long), they are the best in the league.

When you get too good to quick, or always tend to stay in the middle of the pack, it is sometimes hard to build. Ask Cleveland, Toronto, New Orleans and now Orlando. Of course you do not want your team to go completely under after losing a big star, but that tends to be forgotten when you get that solid young core. Orlando never got that core, they pretty much have sucked at the draft.

Courtney Lee was their best value pick, bar none, but they did the Vince Carter trade. Even though they landed Ryan Anderson through that, the only other decent value guy was JJ Reddick. To be honest, they could have done better, even though JJ is not horrible value for an 11 (not amazing, but not horrible). Still, that Fran Vazquez pick really f#cked them over big time. They did a really bad job building around Dwight and I would just effing nuke it. Know I will be in the minority, but this team has not had the best luck trading for huge, veteran contracts.

I know, it is Dwight Howard! But, seriously folks, most deals I have heard are ridiculous one way or the other. Truly, the Lakers are the most realistic, but even with Andrew Bynum, you have to depend on him being healthy. Destroy. Rebuild. If you can get a couple decent young guys still in their rookie contract and an expiring deal, do it. You are not going to get fair value. I can’t believe Otis Smith still has a job. Shaq is wrong about Dwight’s situation, because while Shaq would have made it better (seeing that he was a better player), there is little way he would be happy with the team Dwight has in Orlando.

I would give up Al Jefferson, Devin Harris, Enes Kanter a second round pick and golden states first round pick for Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson.  Is that good enough!?

I’d never give up Wade for Howard.

If I were the Wizards, my second favorite team, I’d give them McGee, Crawford, Vesley, anyone else they want and picks

that was the whole debate with the hornets trade. they gave up a bunch of good, veteran players just for getting "youth"…

Chicago would be soo much better with Rose, I have no idea why they wouldn’t atleast give it a shot. I’d definitely trade Noah, Gibson, and Deng for Howard and Turk.

Rockets – almost anybody…we could offer some mix of the following:

    Established vets (Martin/Scola)

    Young promise (Budinger/Morris)

    Solid young inside (Patterson/Hill)

    Low risk, potential (T.Will/Flynn/Thabeet)

Picks (we could have 2 this year)

    jamming lemon

you put a core of lbj; 2nd best passing sf in history, chris bosh; great shooting big to compliment howard, good passer at pf, and howard. not only is there more balance, you also getting MUCH YOUNGER.

then you throw all the 3pt shooters, which will probably do better thx to howard (miller, chalmers, battier, jones) and you got yourself a sick team that will be competing for more rings in the long run

Bynum and 1st round. If they don’t want that then they can keep him and lose him.

Don’t disredard Wade’s and LeBron’s chemistry. First off, anyone who watches Miami games immediately realizes that Wade and James, besides what everyone who only listens to ESPN, play extremely well together and theyre on court symmetry is unbelievable, it’s like they have telepathy. One guy catches the rebound and throws it 90 feet for a touchdown. They compliment eachother extremely well, especially now where one guy can post up and draw all the attention and then you have a superstar roaming to the rim for a putback or cut. They also combine for an unstoppable fastbreak. And Wade is an elite scorer who can take over on nights when James doesn’t have it. Big men can’t do that. Not to mention, nobody in Mia, will ever trade Wade and Howard has said before he’d never consider Miami.

except im from miami and i watch EVERY SINGLE heat game and wade is one of my favorite players. just because you see a lot of oops on highlights doesn’t mean they compliment each other extremely well. they are the most dynamic team on fastbreaks but everyone knows fastbreak don’t happen that often in the playoffs. on halfcourt offense ,when wade is on lebron is usually on the perimeter, sometimes gets the pass and passes up a semi-open shot because he is not a spot shooter. and VICE VERSA

I don’t care where your from, nor does it matter. Watch some more games, this team is really coming together, they are playing the best they ever have, if everyone stays healthy and Miller and Chalmers keep shooting like Ray Allen, and LeBron AND Wade keep playing unstoppable on the same night, I don’t see how they can’t be considered the favorites. And why would I trade the second best player in the league for a guy that doesn’t want to be there?

No way in hell this happens, but here it goes…

Kevin Love, Michael Beasley or Derrick Williams, Wes Johnson, and one of Utah’s first rounders we got from the Al Jefferson trade.

     @FutureScout

You are having a rough day and I’ve agreed with most of what you’ve said I don’t get it, but especially with this trade.  I’ve actually mentioned it a few times before that I would love to see Wade and Howard get traded for each other because it gives Orlando a superstar that can win MVP any given year that he don’t play with Lebron, and it gives Miami the best team in basketball bar none.

I don’t know how people wouldn’t consider 2 players who are widely considered the 2 most dominant players in the league, on the same team that would be a dynasty.  James and Howard would dominate.  Howard isn’t Bosh nor Wade, he’s a true C who makes your whole defense better just by his presence.

Not only that think of the efficiency of them 2 playing together it would be surreal.  Wade and James as I said from the day he announced he was going to Miami isn’t a great fit.  And I don’t care how many 90 foot oops they throw they will never be a perfect combo because neither one of them is a great shooter.  Wade is basically like a mini Lebron, he does everything James does just not quite as good.

Did you see how well Miami played with Wade hurt?  I like Miami better without Wade because James don’t have to fight with Wade for the ball all game and Chris Bosh also played better.  With Wade back Bosh has regressed again, but Bosh was averaging like 27 a game with Wade out.

So with my obvious opinions that Miami doesn’t even need Wade to be great I’m gonna go even further and say I would trade Wade and Bosh in a heartbeat for Howard, Ryan Anderson, and JJ Reddick.  And I think that trade makes both teams better.

The Heat would start Chalmers, Reddick or Mike Miller, Lebron, Ryan Anderson (Haslem on bench), and Howard.  That means Lebron is going to have the ball with Chalmers, Reddick, and Anderson spreading the floor and Howard underneath, that’s so much scarier then Wade and James slashing while Bosh shoots mid range jumpers.

And Orlando starts over with Wade and Bosh probably keeps them a top 4 team in the East who can contend.

I disagree with all of your points pretty much. Chicago is playing great without Rose, and they have not one other star, Miami has 2 they can afford it. Does that mean Rose isn’t important towards Chi. success? Hell no. And Howard would be a great anchor, but that isn’t really a need for Miami right now as Wade and James are both DPOY worthy players. Wade and James are great together, Howard would just bring another defensive anchor and take the ball out of James hand, which isn’t a good thing. However, I can live with Wade taking the ball out of James hand. James is so deadly off the ball, anyways.

Let’s be real here Dwight Howard still has a lot to prove. Can he be an MVP? Can he be a closer? Can he win? Can he develop a go to move? The only teams that should really make a move for him are teams that lack an identity like the Nets. He cannot fail in a situation like that.

Not great for the Magic but I would give up Turner, Vucevic, Craig Brackins, Nocioni’s Contract, 2011st round pick, and a protected first round pick for Dwight. Jrue-Meeks-Iggy-Eb-Dwight with Lou and Thad young off the bench.

And if they wanted Iggy instead of Turner then we can make that happen too. Lavoy Allen is also on the table, as is Spencer Hawes but I left him out because of his uncertain health. Imagine if they had him and let him shoot threes again; they would certainly spread the floor.
