why are so many people jumping on the rubio bandwagon when most of yall have never seen him play out side of a u tube clip and a couple of olympic games ( in which he averaged 4pts 3ast and 2 turnovers)…..most people i see say hes gonna be this and thatand only know what he can do from what you read other people say…how about yall watch his leauge games first or wait and see him play before getting on the bandwagon

I completely agree. He is being compared to Hall of Famer’s left and right and the majority of people have never seen him play.

Rubio reminds me of Mike Taylor, who is goin’ to be good in the future…

I wouldnt judge ANYBODY on a youtube highlight…they show none of the weaknesses. But I’ve seen him play twice (his game against Jennings and the Olympics against the U.S). I think he will be a bust honestly…he reminds me of Sergio Rodriguez, talented but too weak and not good enough shooters to survive in the league.

thats the first real honest assessment ive heard in awhile…ive watched him play 9 times and im just not convinced liek some of these nba scouts that think hes gonna be very good things ive noticed is he has trouble with quick guards who can also think the game..mostly the american guards..hes a lil more athletic then i thought though..his jumper isnt the best also. i think he can come and be a type of player than can get alot of ast but not score much and initually struggle on D..basically a back up for a year or 2

Why start this and not put BJennings in the same boat? Atleast Rubio has had some great NBA players comment about him, what has Jennings done. I don’t like all the hype of either, but Jennings seems to get much more positive. Everyone has negative stuff about Rubio.

the only reason i dont say too much about jennings is because he already knows the nba game and even though it was just his first year over there his numbers were close to rubios plus with potential when a player has the athletic tools he can be taught all the other tools but when you cant teach the athletic tools ..its like height you just cant teach it. just liek it takes time to adjust to the euro game it takes more to adjust to the nba game esspecially when youre younger and comming in at the toughest position in the nba. every other night you have chris paul deron williams devin harris derrick rose russell westbrook, billups, ellis, andre miller rondo, aron brooks, etc..

And on Jennings…Ive seen him play against his peers and look like a kid in a candy store (last years all star games)

Worst case he is Jason Williams (the white one) but even that is hard to imagine b/c Jennings has bunnies.

Athleticism and speed are paramount in this leaugue. This is not the 80’s, not too many ‘slow’ PGs are elite players.
