To people anymore. They say it every year. "This is a weak draft." I let the players do the talking after they actually hit the court. Lets look back and decide if its a weak draft, why do it now?

Exactly. I remember before the Stephen curry draft people on here was saying it was one of the weakest drafts ever(talking heads were saying it as well)

Who said this draft is weak ? I’ve seen only one guy say it on the site. I can’t recall his name.

Not that the draft is weak, the top of the draft other than Davis is weak compared to past drafts(which is said a lot) but looking at the past drafts I don’t agree with that.  And it not just people on here who think 2-5 isn’t really strong

I personally haven’t seen people say 2 to 5 is weak or this draft is weak in general.

I have hence why I made the post. And like I said twice already weak compared to past drafts and compared to the number one pick.

Haven’t seen anyone say this is a weak draft class outside of one or two people on this site saying that people need to stop saying it’s a weak draft class. Odd that.

Of course, there is a doomsday scenario. Davis=Ibaka, Drummond=shorter Thabeet, MKG=Tony Allen, TRob=Reggie Evans, and Beal=Allen Ray (assuming that’s the top five), but I think it’s more likely that it matches up pretty well against the last few drafts…. Though, I don’t really see a Love, Durant, Aldrige, Harden, Westbrook, Paul, or Deron Williams in this class….

I think I’m talking myself into being pessimistic….

You can’t call any draft weak before these guys play a game in the league, for all we know the top 5 picks could be better than the 03 draft

It seems 1-2 busts, 1-2 stars, and the other 3 being really good is the norm. There’s also usually a pretty big reach. Who do you all think the stars and busts are?

    Potential Stars: Beal, MKG

    Potential Busts: Barnes, Drummond

    Reach: Lamb
