    1. Lets say the Jazz get the 3rd Pick and select Joel Embiid to pair up with Derrick Favors. What’s Enes Kanter worth in this draft?

    2. Lets assume the 76ers land Jabarri Parker and choose to part ways with Thad Young. What draft pick would he be worth potentially?

    3. What if the Bucks selected Andrew Wiggins and wanted to trade Ersan Ilyasova to create PT for he and the Greek Freak on the wing. What is Ilyasova worth in this draft?

    4. What if Orlando decides to pair up Smart and Olapido and finally trades Aaron Affalo. What would he be worth?

    5. What if Dante Exum falls to the Celtics with the 5th pick and they view him as a PG? What if they wish to pair up he and Free agent Gordon Hayward in their back court. Rondo’s for Sale. What’s he worth in this draft?

    6. Let’s assume Julius Randle falls into the laps of the Lakers @ 6 but Kobe and Company push the GM and Ownership to pull the trigger on a trade for "Superstar X” and chase 1 or 2 more ‘Grampian ships’. Would Julius Randle be able to land the Lakers some immediate help? Maybe in the form of a Star or collection of good players from a team like the Nuggetts or Magic? Any Ideas are welcome for this Question?

    1. kanter has a year left on his contract so i’m not sure many teams would trade a pick for his service unless there was a guarantee he’d re-sign.  i think teams that are weak at center are lakers, thunder, spurs, sixers and heat.  other than sixers and lakers, there’s not much return for the other teams.  and he’s probably not worth a top 10 pick in this draft.

    2.  thad young is an expiring contract, but offers little value to me.  he’s a josh smith tweener, great athlete that can’t shoot the 3 but likes to play on the perimeter.  i don’t think he’ll generate a lot of interest at draft time, but maybe at the trade deadline.  sf depth in this draft is too good.  teams will invest in young talent for cheap over thad.

    3.  ilyasova has no value.  he’s got about $16M over 2 year reasons why.  i don’t think anyone is going to take on his contract, especially for a 1st rounder.

    4.  afflalo has value but has one year left and then a player option.  i think a team like okc could throw an expiring contract (like perkins) and a late 1st.  i would rather invest a pj hairston though.ron

    5.  rondo is another guy with an expiring contract but does have value.  i would say coming off an acl injury and still not being able to hit the 3, a team would be more inclined to draft an ennis or payton versus taking rondo on.  maybe a contender like the rockets would offload asik, beverley and their 1st.  to me, i think even with exum, rondo is a nice guy to ease exum into the nba.

    6.  don’t know why on earth lakers would trade randle for a hogpodge of nuggets players.  they have a ton of cap space to make moves this offseason.  makes more sense to draft randle and start rebuilding around him.

      and Rondo…

If I’m OKC I rather have Affalo over PJ Hairston (right now)…

There are a lot of teams willing to take Rondo off Boston’s hands.   No way you think any PG in this draft is a better option do you?

here’s the deal with okc.  they don’t need afflalo’s scoring.  they could get the same defense with sefelosha.  they also have jeremy lamb who can score but knows his role on the team.  i think okc got where they are by drafting well and then moving their assets at the right time.  this is probably not a bold prediction but i think they’ll draft a pg and sg or sf and move reggie jackson by the trade deadline for more picks.

as far as rondo, it’s about return.  unless you plan to commit to him, you’re only going to have him for a year.  that only makes sense if you’re making a championship run like maybe the rockets.  the teams that need a pg are orlando, lakers, kings and raptors.  i don’t think rondo would be interested in resigning with the magic or kings.  lakers could trade their pick but they also can get a young, defensive minded pg in marcus smart for a hell of lot cheaper.  toronto just doesn’t have the assets to make a move.

OKC will not be able to afford the kind of money thrown at Jackson. They’ll want to move him, as you nicely pointed out, at the trade deadline (if not during the draft) OKC could really move up if they want to in this draft or the next, with Jackson and 2 first rounders this year: They don’t have much breathing room in terms of  salary cap (unless they amnesty perk) so they don’t want 2 players with guaranteed contracts (even if they’re in the later rounds).

Presti knows value, and he won’t part with Jackson for Nothing. If they try to re-sign Jackson, he will want to start elsewhere anyway, and he’ll enter RFAgency. if that happens OKC won’t have the space to match, because a team will over-value Jackson. Prediction, piggy-backing off of you: Presti’s gonna pull a James Harden and trade him this summer and draft a PG (i pray it’s Nick Johnson @ 21 with the Mavs Pick)

OKC will have plenty of money to offer Jackson if they think he is really worth it…  the cap will be raised at least 5 milliion in the next year or two and Perkins’ contract is coming off the books, but I’m not sure on Jackson’s mindset… if he is happy in his role or if he wants a starting gig.  The trade offers on the table will probably make the decision for Presti.  I think Elfrid Peyton would be a great replacement and possibly available in their draft range.  Just curious…  what do some of you think the Thunder could get back for Jackson in a trade?

The Thunder should of traded for Affalo during the season…  I think they may have to much faith in Lamb, but I hope I’m wrong.

He’s a great fit for the Thunder. He’s got the Scoring Punch they need off the bench. and with the Thunder’s Penchant for Developing players, I have faith Lamb’s going to improve enough to thrive and earn the "main" 6th Man role next year (even IF they keep Butler). Speaking of which, they play Butler more cuz of his experience, defense and post-up. So i hope they don’t keep him so others can get PT and develop more.

He has a year left and then he’s a restricted free agent, meaning he’s yours at about market value if you want to keep him.  You can say he only has a year left on this contract is a negative, but to a team that’s rebuilding, you’d rather have 3rd year guys to build around than rookies, because it accelerates the rebuilding process.

    1.  Kanter would probably be worth a mid 1st, especially since this draft is so shallow at center.

    2.  If a team really wants Young they can make it happen in free agency

    3.  Ilyasova is a power forward…  not sure how he would affect their playing time… but with his contract I think the Bucks are stuck with him.

    4.  Affalo has plenty of value but I’ve read that the Magic want wayyy too much for him.  Maybe in your scenerio they would feel a little more urgency to trade him.  In that case I would say he is worth a lightly protected 1st, a veteran, and decent young player.

    5.  Agree with everything juves4783 said

    6.  If the Lakers are able to resign Gasol I could see them making a big move for a veteran.  Randle and other pieces for Love would be tempting for the Wolves if Love lets them know he won’t resign.

    1. Lets say the Jazz get the 3rd Pick and select Joel Embiid to pair up with Derrick Favors. What’s Enes Kanter worth in this draft?

    A. Kanter would be worth whatever range Nurkic will be slotted to go (my guess is slightly after the lottery (15-18).

    2. Lets assume the 76ers land Jabarri Parker and choose to part ways with Thad Young. What draft pick would he be worth potentially?

    A. Lots of 3/4 type’s in this draft so I would say a pick in the 20s. Tough to see someone who he fits with if this were the case.

    3. What if the Bucks selected Andrew Wiggins and wanted to trade Ersan Ilyasova to create PT for he and the Greek Freak on the wing. What is Ilyasova worth in this draft?

    A. Ilyasova doesn’t have a cap friendly number so it would be awfully hard to trade him. Maybe the Suns would be willing to trade their Pacers pick to replace Frye but I have no idea.

    4. What if Orlando decides to pair up Smart and Olapido and finally trades Aaron Affalo. What would he be worth?

    A. Again, this draft is extremely deep on the wing so tough to gague. Late first if he were to be traded which I doubt would happen.

    5. What if Dante Exum falls to the Celtics with the 5th pick and they view him as a PG? What if they wish to pair up he and Free agent Gordon Hayward in their back court. Rondo’s for Sale. What’s he worth in this draft?

    A. Rondo is worth the picks right before Ennis is slated to go; this would be a bit earlier than 12 in my opinion. I honestly think anything outside the top five would be worth it for Rondo, he is a stud.

    6. Let’s assume Julius Randle falls into the laps of the Lakers @ 6 but Kobe and Company push the GM and Ownership to pull the trigger on a trade for "Superstar X” and chase 1 or 2 more ‘Grampian ships’. A. I don’t think it would be smart for the Lakers to attempt a quick rebuild to much of Kobe’s dismay. They are realistically a few years away from being contenders again in the competitive western conference.

     1) Kanter hasn’t show much of anything, sure he was a high pick but he isn’t a top ten center.  Partly due to Corbins refusal to play him but it doesn’t change the fact.  I would say a pick in 18 to 20 and maybe a 2nd rounder would be enough for me, but I am sure the Jazz value him more than that.

    2) Thad Young doesn’t move the needle for me either.  He is a tweener who can shoot the 3.  He seems like he should be a great defender but he isn’t, couple that with the fact that he is on the last year of his deal and I don’t think a team would reach with a first rounder.  What team does he drastically improve?

    3) Illyasova…. nuff said.

    4) I don’t think Afflalo is worth a lottery pick.  Since I think he is better suited for a contender who is picking in the back half of the 1st I think he is worth that.  But I personally don’t think he is worth a lottery pick despite what Magic fans want to think.

    5) Rondo might be worth a lottery pick if he is willing to sign an extension with a team, if not I wouldn’t risk it.  Again he is a player more suited to join a contender and make an impact that way.  A team in the lottery, while he might be worth that pick he most likely wouldn’t be happy and wouldn’t have any inclination to hang around past his contract.

    6) If Julius Randle falls to the Lakers I hope they hang on to him.  Obviously Kevin Love is the better player, but I would hope they encourage Randle to have a good year.  Sign Kevin Love in the off season, then if they really don’t want redundancy at the PF position they can then look to move Randle to fill another need.  No need to help the T Wolves out with the position they put themselves in with K Love.

     1. 9th to 15th.  Would rather have him and his 2 years of development than anyone outside of Vonleh or Gordon.

    2. Late 1st

    3. Untradable

    4. Mid 1st

    5. I think the Lakers pick and Rondo is a match made in heaven. If the Lakers are picking 6-7, I think they could find a package and trade for him.  If they’re picking 1-3, the pick is worth too much and the Celtics would have to throw in something to make it work.

    6. Randle is the type of player that would make my #5 work.

I really think Kanter could be a hot trade name on draft day.  Especially if the Jazz land at 4 or lower and feel like they have to take a big man.  If the Jazz land at 5th or 6th, they may use him and their other first rounder to try to trade up into the top 4.

The Jazz wont trade Kanter for a pick outside of the lottery thats moving backwards. Teams dont trade lottery picks for picks outside of the lottery it proves they made a mistake which loses them credability. Besides Kanter is a proven young player and would be a rotation player for any team in the league and could even start for alot of teams. At such a young age your not trading a proven center for  a 15th to 20th pick.
