    The Starting 5 would be:

    Gasol

    Randolph

    Gay

    Allen

    Conley

    Bench:

    Sam Young

    OJ Mayo

    Shane Battier

    Darell Arthur

    Greivais Vasquez

    Xavier Henry

    Hamed Haddadi

    Leon Powe

    Ishmael Smith

a good backup point guard and backup center would look great.

I was thinking the same thing. Anyone know when Rudy will be back, or if he’ll be back if Memphis makes it to the second round?

Rudy Gaywont be back for awhile. He had surgery on his shoulder. I really hope they spend the money to keep this team together next year and see what they can do with Rudy in the mix

That team would be nice, look what they are doing to the spurs without him, now imagine with him. Too bad he has gay as a last name, I bet people who we’re making fun of him as a kid, are ashamed to be seen in public

I think this year it was good that Gay was hurt because a lot of guys step up but if they have him back healthy with the team they have now, they will be very tough possibly even Western Conference Finals.

I think it would actually hurt them. Dont get me wrong I like Rudy and he is a good player but he would demand the ball to much. The Grizzlies are playing there best and Zach Randolph is going beast mode on the Spurs. Randolph will get his numbers no matter what but he has really become the leader of the Grizz, not sure it would be the same if Gay was playing

yeah i hate to say it and ive said it before but do the grizz really need him? i feel they have a great chemistry and everyone knows their roles for the most part and rudy is always looking to get his shot 1st whether it be good or bad for the team

The grizzlies would definetly be a better team with Gay. Randolph was already the focal point of the offense since last season, he would still get all the touches he wants and we would have another guy who can create his shot and hit the 3(Memphis’ weak point).

If we hadn’t traded for Battier(great trade BTW) we would have a big hole at SF. Sam Young hasn’t had a positive +/- this series.

Gay may not be worth a max contract, but he is a guy very few teams wouldn’t like to have, and the Grizz will miss him a lot if we get through and play OKC, as he plays well against Durant.

ya, im not sure they would be better with him. he is a good player but this team is built around defense, toughness and rebounding. plus they dropped over 100 last night so scoring isnt a problem. if scoring was a problem i would say they could be better with him, but as of right now, i dont think they would be as successful with him in the lineup.

im on my phone so i cant look it up, but check out memphis record since rudys injury, i dont think it is a coincidence(meaning they have been exceptional since the injury).

Rudy wont return until next season…

Did you see how Successful the Nuggets were after the Melo trade? They played great team ball..Becuz they had very good ball movement..And they didnt have to stall the offense by trying to get the ball to their 1st option and he’s taking 5 or 6 seconds off the clock trying to create a play…

But during the playoffs they need that go to guy, becuz during the playoffs teams gear up their defense….

Signing Tony Allen was great for the franchise..His defensive energy has been adopted by the entire team…
