Who was your first favorite team and why? What happened from there.

    My Story…

I’m From Philly but my pops raised me as a bit of a T-Wolves fan so I learned to love both the T-Wolves and the Sixers. Was also a Bulls fan for the limited time I got to see MJ play. Once J-Kidd went to NJ I became a big Nets fans as well but realized I was switching my fanhood too much. Became a fan of the Celtics once my man KG was moved. Despite it all though, I’ve always stuck with the Wolves even though times have been hard. For some reason I can’t stop liking them.

I like a bunch of teams now (Nugs, Hawks, Celtics, Kings, Bulls) but my fanhood will always belong to the Wolves and if we get Wall I might finally be able to justify it.

I was living in California and my parents were watching the 1998 NBA Finals. My mom had a crush on John Stockton and always cheered for the underdog so she cheered for the Jazz. Because she cheered for the Jazz, I cheered for the Jazz. I didn’t know much about basketball because I was only 7, but I watched the games anyway. That summer I moved to Seattle and still cheered for the Jazz. All my friends were Supersonic fans, so me and my mom would always trash-talk to all of them.

After a year I moved to Portland, where the Jazz had a big rivalry with the hometown Blazers. Once Stockton retired I stopped caring for about a year. Eventually, I checked in to see how Kirilenko was doing, because I remember him playing in the Rookie/Sophmore game and the announcers talking about how long his arms were. I regained my fandom even though it was the worst season for the Jazz in 20-something years. We drafted Deron Williams (I wanted CP3 though) and my fandom only grew from there. AK-47 is still my favorite player.

first team was the bulls because of jordan but not for the obvious reasons. i was young and jordan was my favorite player because he stuck out his tounge. as a kid i thought he didnt like the other players and because he didnt like them he would stick his tounge out at them and i figure it was because they were tryna take the ball from him so i felt they deserved to get a tounge stuck out at them

Ive been a huge Raps fan since they started. i really got started in the T. Mac / V.C. / Alvin Williams era. being from downtown Toronto, i love going to the games. Another reason i love the raptors is because they are the team that people like to hate on, being in Canada. Which makes it twice as much fun to beat other teams.

grew up in southern california about 45 minutes from los angeles. I started watching the lakers during the 92-93 season and immediately was the biggest basketball nerd watching videos from the 80’s and reading books and never missing a game. That was during the Sedale threat/vlade divac/elden campbell era.

I have been a die hard fan ever since and van exel was my favorite player until kobe came along.

Born and raised in Chicago I was a die hard bulls fan growing up had to be in chicago. Loved and still do love Jordan I remember when i was young when the bulls lost i would actually be upset and I actually cried when the knicks beat the bulls in the 94 playoffs it was a heartbreaker I actulally loved that team even though Jordan was retired they showed a lot of heart and Pippen really became a leader that year. Now I live in Vegas and I still like the bulls but I bet on sports and my favorite team is what ever team I bet on that day.

I first got wind of the NBA durning the All Star Weekend 1990-91 season. Growing up in Gary, IN right outside of Chicago I was a Bulls fan. I stayed a Bulls fan through the first three championships then when MJ retired I continued with the team until he came back. I felt he was a little arrogant and I started to dislike him with the team. Went to being a Orlando Magic fan. Still in Indiana I wanted the Pacers to win but didn’t consider myself a fan. I heard about KG in high school and became a fan of his so when Minnesota pick him I followed suit. Even had a input on my moving to Minnesota actually. I’ve been Minnesota and Indiana every since. And man has it been rough. I’m completely those two states in my sports loyalty. Pro and College.

I always like the Sonics even though they were the Blazers rival.
