European BasketballerParticipantI tried over and over to post this in other threads (for some strange reason site made 2 duplicate threads), but every time I get this message, “you have triggered the anti-spam filter”. And then it won’t let me make any more posts in the thread. I guess the forum has a glitch or something.
Anyway, here is the video:

blackflash234ParticipantNever heard of this guy. Where’s he projected to go in this year’s draft? Could be be another Bruno Caboclo?

ChoppyParticipantI went to add him to the mock draft pool as a potential second round draft and stash guy and he comes up as ineligible. Euroballer, is he eligible for 2016 or not?

European BasketballerParticipantYes. He is in 2016 NBA draft. It was reported his agent said he is in the draft. And he was given personal invite to Treviso Euro rookie camp, where he will workout in front of NBA scouts before the draft.
For some reason no one in USA sports media has listed him as being in the draft, but he is in the draft.

European BasketballerParticipantI guess because he is only 19 and about to be 20. He is 1996 born, and so his auto eligible draft year is not until 2018, under normal rules.
So I guess that is why they don’t list him. They think you have to declare since his auto year is 2018.
But they forget that since he played in NCAA, his draft auto year is changed to 2016.
Ioannis Papapetrou had same issue. His auto draft year was 2016 (this year), since he is 1994 born. But he was actually put in draft of 2014 automatically since he played in NCAA. But he never put his name in list, so US sports media ignored that he was draft eligible.
I guess they do not know the rule, that if a player plays in NCAA for a year, then goes to play professionally in Europe right after that in the next season, that in that very next summer that player is immediately auto draft eligible, even if they are still 2 years away from their normal draft auto year.
This is a rule that exists so players can leave NCAA after one season, spend the next season making money playing professionaly in Europe, and then enter into the draft following that season. I guess most US sports media just does not know how this rule works.

RUDEBOY_Participanthe looks promising..i read that he signed a 5 yr deal last year..i wonder does he have an out clause?
watching those clips..im concerned about him shooting from the hip..it gives the impression that he lacks strength..not good for a 7 footer..and when he attempts those hook shots,he backs too far out from the basket..but those things along with the fact,he needs to get stronger, are things that can be corrected..
