KHAM83ParticipantI do not know if Ive missed it, but have the Hornets even worked out any other potential top picks? THey are taking Davis #1, and Ive only heard of them working out players who should be around at 10. Wouldnt it serve right to see what other top picks may offer in case someone falls or if a potential trade comes up?
Im thinking more of the latter. Sac-Town has been rumored to be interested in Henson or Zeller, but of ocurse will not take either at #5. I do not think its a slam dunk that if Davis-TRob-Beal-Barnes are taken that they will take MKG. I wouldnt want two wings that couldnt shoot the ball which they will have in Evans and MKG. IF this was the case, I can see the Hornets tempting the Kings to swap picks. The Hornets can deal a future protected pick and/or Rashard Lewis and take back Garcia’s contract. Sac-Town can then take either Henson or Zeller at 10 and have a 3 that can stretch the floor, which Rashard can still do and only have one year left on deal. Charlotte in the scenerio can then take either MKG or Drummond at #5 to build with Davis. MKG will be the safe and popular option but Drummond will be the more High Risk/Reward pick, which I would do. So tell me, has the Hornets worked out any top picks and Ive missed it? Is this deal possible? If it did happen, who would you target with the 5th pick if you were the Hornets and at 10 if you were the Kings?0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/24/2012 - 5:24pm #687141

220ParticipantThe Hornets worked out a bunch of guys right after the draft lottery.
Check their site. The first workouts were about 20 days ago.

sheltwon3ParticipantEven if Hornet could get their pick, I would take they would got different than taking MKG. Davis brings more defense than offense so it would be wise to help him out by getting shooters and more offensive minded players to play with him.
Just because a player played together in college does not mean that it will translate to the NBA. Also you can’t use the same tactics that worked in college in the NBA.
