Even with all the high draft picks and some free-agent acquisitions, the Wolves have holes at every position except whatever spot Kevin Love plays. Though they still own the rights to Ricky Rubio and sit on a very disappointing — but talented — Jonny Flynn, the Wolves clearly will have to consider taking Kyrie Irving, of course. But pairing up your best player with a complementary one makes sense, and if the Wolves decide to go that route, they’ll have to consider Bismack Biyombo.

If you think he’s too raw a talent to go No. 1, you’re wrong. Think of it like this: He averages 6 and 5 with more than two blocks a game while playing in Spain’s top division, which is the second-best basketball league in the world after the NBA. And he does that while playing less than half the game. It’s a league far more rugged than college. How would Irving fare over there in 17 minutes?

Biyombo pairs up perfectly with Love, as his above-the-rim game and high intensity matches up with Love’s solid positional defense and calm demeanor. BB would give the Wolves a constant threat in the paint to dunk anything he touched while allowing Love to float outside for his great jumper. And they would form one of the top rebounding tandems in the league. His energy alone would help Love and every other player on the team. Flynn, Wes Johnson and Love all want lots of touches and shots, and BB could excel just playing off their misses. The two players he’s always compared to are Ben Wallace and Kevin Garnett.

I dont get it, Kahn would actually be making a smart move if he took Bismack Biyombo with the 20 pick after picking Irving who could be Chris Paul lite and the way Paul is playing Chris Paul lite is better than anything most teams have.

Rubio and Flynn could be traded for veteran pieces and draft picks.

Sadly he has a point. The Wolves need a high intensity, high energy player. And if Biyombo can come anywhere close to what Joekim Noah is, the Wolves would greatly benefit. Taking him at number 1 or even number 4 is far too much of a stretch though.

I lost all respect that I had for David Thorpe. I know people compare the dude to Ben Wallace, but even if EVERY team knew what Ben Wallace would become, he still never would have been drafted number 1 in any draft. With that said, why would you draft a guy first overall when you could either trade back and get more in return with him or possibly even just buy a pick to get him? The sad thing is that I don’t think it would shock anyone if Kahn made the pick. There would be a second of "What the *@$% just happened" and then everyone would realize it’s David Kahn making the pick.

The 20th pick would be fine but in that article Thorpe is saying that he might be taken wtih the Wolves lotto pick and if that happens then Kahn and the whole T-Wolves franchise just needs to pack up, move to Seattle and start over.  That would be the biggest mistake since trading Kevin Garnett.  This Biyambo kid was barely on anyone’s radar until a few weeks ago in Portland when he played well.  No one is questioning his talent or what he might become down the road but right now the Wolves can’t afford to waste one of their best assets on a project player like that.  Just draft Irving and be done with it.  Trade Flynn & Rubio for picks or players and move forward with Irving and Ridinour as your PG’s.

Come on guys we dont need Irving , in the triangke offense the point guard dont need to score but to distribute the ball , And ricky rubio already said he is a point ghuard he wants to make his teammates look good and if his team needs for him to score he will score’

Also in this draft we need need not want . we have rubio coming over, give him a chance like flynn. and also with are first pick we can draft jonas. so he can buy his self out of his contract. And he can come off the bench for love. to spread out the floor. or draft DONTAS MOIEJUNAS i think we should take dontas more he is taller and left handed .and can knock down FT AND 3S

And with are two pick from the grizzles and jazz trade up to selct Bismack.

this can happen with this type of draft more picks equal better finding your needs.

    with this all being said

    lineup

ricky rubio, wesly johnson, micheal beasly, kevin love, darko milic

    bench

luke ridnur, martell webster, Bismack Biyombo,Anthong Randolf, Donatas moiejunas.

this is are future, and nobody in the top five needs dontas moiejunas. maybe 10
