White ChocolateParticipantC.J. Miles
Kyrylo Fesenko
The Rights to Ante Tomic
Knicks 2010 1st Round Pickfor
O.J. Mayo
Grizzlies Fans would you do this trade?

HaleParticipantI would imagine they wouldn’t because they get nothing good. The only player on your roster Memphis would want is Williams, and maybe Okur.

d-grizzlyParticipantmy bad, about the knicks not having a first pick lol…utah has it, i forgot….losing mayo? absolutely not….

gatorheelsParticipantWow that is a tough decision. I’m not a Memphis fan but I probably would do that trade.

sheltwon3ParticipantIf the Grizz knew how bad the Knicks would play then this would not be a bad trade because next years draft is stacked but Knicks would probably play themselves out of a top 8 pick again.

gatorheelsParticipantI mean that 1st round pick IMO is going to be a top 5 pick.

D HampParticipantI’ll trade Mike Connely. Thye have Marcus Williams. Connely isn’t in his class. Wait until he starts. Too bad Willaims doesn’t get along with Don Nelson, they wouldn’t need Monte Ellis.
Dhamp = the new Hubie Brown….the name you can trust….Smoother than Doug Collins balding head.

sheltwon3ParticipantIt is risky though I will say that and I would actually ask for more than maybe a second rounder as well because second round picks are playing well lately. If Grizz is smart they can get depth and 3 young players in next years draft from this move and also they would have a guranteed spot for AI to start this year.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:28am #182706

sheltwon3ParticipantDHamp we have to disagree because I like Conley and Williams may be a better passer but Conley is a better player. No way Williams outplays Ellis even last year when he was recovering from injury. Utah would not trade for another point guard they would want a solid two which Mayo is.

D HampParticipantWhat… You must not have watched Willams backing up Kidd in NJ! He doesn’t play now because he doesn’t get along with the coach.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantI wouldn’t since Mayo is going to be really good.

grizz_fan7ParticipantThat first trade is horrid for memphis
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 11:55am #182862

sheltwon3ParticipantDhamp how good do you think Williams is. Honestly I liked dude from UConn as but you are giving him status over a player that has shown he was decent for a whole year and actually is young and learning. And you also said he was better than Monta Ellis. It is debateable about Conley but no way is he better than Ellis. He is a better point guard than Ellis but not a better player.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 11:59am #182868

gatorheelsParticipantYep M Williams is definitely not better than Ellis. Warriors were stupid to give up on Marcus so quick though. I think he can be a solid starter in the league.

White ChocolateParticipantYou would actually want Boozer even if you have Randolph?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 1:55pm #182922
fliptonnParticipantsure you get a top five pick, but mayo was a top three pick. hes an absolute stud and he and rudy gay are about all this team has as far as scoring.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 3:07pm #182960
BasketballGuru24ParticipantNEVER!!!!! Oj mayo is to good for that
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 3:09pm #182964

gatorheelsParticipantThis give the Grizzlies 3 young prospects & likely a top 5 pick. Memphis would have a chance to get John Wall, Derrick Favors, etc..
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 4:30pm #183006

sheltwon3ParticipantIt won’t be a top 5 only if that pick moves up in the top 3 in the lottery. Also Memphis will probably have a top 5 pick because of their youth and with maybe a top 10 pick in next year draft that is two solid player plus Miles who is underrated and that other tall dude who would give them depth in case thabeet equal bust.
