     basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/250196/Grizzlies-Explore-Trading-No-4-Pick-To-Unload-Chandler-Parsons

If I’m the Hawks I’m all over this..they have the cap space and no big FA is coming here.

    Memphis get:

    19th Pick

    Hawks get:

    Parsons and 4th Pick…

If I"m the Hawks I would also try and throw in Kent Bazemore and his terrible contract as well.. But Memphis is trying to shed money.

Who trade ideas you guys got for Memphis?

Also saw on twitter, Grizzles offer Parson and 4th to Mavs for Harrison Barnes…

If that is a real offer, they need to do it right now. Barnes puts up empty stats and gets paid the same as parsons.

How jacked up a franchise do you have to be to be considering giving away a potential franchise player simply to erase a monumental screw up of your own doing.

Memphis signed Parsons to an insane contract that tied their hands, and now to solve that mistake they’re going to commit an even bigger mistake by giving away the No. 4 pick for nothing?

While they’re at it, they should trade their entire front office to Best Buy. That’s the trade Memphis should make because I guarantee you Best Buy has at least one person in their management staff that could do better than this.

The fact that Memphis wants to sell their pick doesn’t mean they want to give it away.

Why in the world would they accept Bazemore+19th pick for their 4th pick+Parsons?

N.Y and Clippers have shown interest in trading up so, if these 2 teams want a Nº4 pick in a loaded draft that could be a Nº1 in many other drafts, they’ll have to pay a little more:

    1. Memphis-N.Y:

. Memphis gets: 9th pick+Ntilikina+Hardaway Jr. or Kanter

    . N.Y gets: 4th pick+A.Harrison+Parsons

    2. Memphis-Clippers:

    . Memphis gets: picks 12&13+T.Harris

    . Clippers gets: 4th pick+32nd pick+Parsons

IF you read the article it says they want to shed money, not bring in money…They also need ot free up money to re-sign Tyreke Evans, they don’t have his bird rights

This is exactly what I came to say specifically these two teams. They probably like the odds in the late lottery and are looking to trade down and grab a decent player as well.

Would Cavs consider Hill and 8th for Parsons and 4th?

Chicago have good cap space too so chance to get into top 4 would interest them.

Indiana have Jefferson and Stephenson with nearly $15 million in Team options, would they throw in Turner or Sabonis to get to 4th in draft?

Wiggins straight up for Parsons and #4 would be a freaking dream trade. Parsons’ contract is great compared to the albatross Wiggins is about to become. Parsons fits better with the Wolves anyways, and getting a complement for KAT like Bamba, JJJ, or Carter would be great! What would also be awesome would be if Doncic were to fall; he’d be perfect for the Wolves!

    Make this happen, Thibs!!

I always wondered who was pushing for the Wiggins mega contract, Thibs or ownership?

He doesn’t really seem like a Thibs type of player

IIRC, Glen Taylor didn’t want to sign Wiggins to an extension until Wiggins would meet with him in person and say he was going to try hard (I cant make this stuff up). I think the extension was pushed most by Wiggins camp/the franchise embarrassment of letting a first overall pick walk. As if they weren’t enough of an embarrassment already, lol.

Trading slightly down from 4 makes sense to me because there seems to be seven players that have been dubbed “top-five picks:”

    Ayton
    Jackson Jr.
    Doncic
    Bagley
    Porter Jr.
    Bamba
    Young

If there are seven players with top-five value, of course it makes sense to get one at 7, plus another asset, and pay him slightly less. As a Cavs fan, for me the unfortunate thing is that we have 8; one of the worst positions to hold in a draft is the first pick after the talent drop-off. It’s painful to have first choice of the tier 2s when you’re so close you can taste it to having a tier 1.

Maybe, unless you factor in the teams drafting Nos. 1-7 have a history of screwing things up, otherwise they probably wouldn’t be drafting 1-7. It only takes one team to draft Johnny Flynn, then you’re sitting pretty waiting to draft whichever players falls in your lap.

Could be worse. Could be Brooklyn and not even know where the draft is being held.

Surely they want a little more than cap room, I know Chandler Parsons contract is bad but it aint that bad.

If they simply after a bit of cap flexibility then Indiana best get involved:
4th & Parsons for Bogdanovic & Jefferson would immediately free them up $20mil by cutting them. If they wanted a little talent back Indiana could include TJ Leaf and the 23rd pick as well. If Memphis started asking for Sabonis or Turner I think that’d put a halt to any conversation.

Bulls should be all over this if possible.

#22 + Portis at a very friendly salary.

I would love to see the Kings jump on this. They could use  aa vetera presence that actually plays and fits into their scheme. They have the cap space, they need a SF, and an extra pick in this year’s draft would be amazing. Bagley and . . .

in this Draft – the entire Lottery is filled with Really good players & from 5 or 6 through 12 look Very strong long term

But just like Last year when the Top 5 Fox, Ball, Tatum, Fultz & Jackson look like Locks Big Time talents as the Grow (Obviously Mitchell is in that Group now too) & the next group from 6 thru 13 look Really good but the Top 5 looked to be a cut above

And in 2018 Ayton, Doncic, Bagley, Porter & maybe JJJ & / or Mamba look like potential Franchise or Near Franchise level talents there is NO way Memphis can Give up that #4 pick to unload a Salary

Just my two cents, but I think they’re talking more about moving down a few spots. Teams like the Magic and Bulls. We’ll give you four for 6 or 7, but you take Parsons. That makes sense.

If the Spurs are actually going to move Leonard I would say that they are a team that could go for this. Not completely sure on what there cap situation is, but I’m pretty sure they aren’t bringing Gasol back and moving Leonard would open some space depending on where they send him. I think the number 18 and Danny Green or Rudy Gay should get it done.
