Mr. BasketballParticipantgriffin or rose? who will have a better career? who is the better draft prospect?
i say griffin to both because a dominant big is harder to find and because rose is more of a scorer than a distributor.
Prospect wise i will say the same thing. However, the fact that rose was in a much better draft makes it difficult to really know.

joecheck88ParticipantI think griffin has a chance to have better numbers, but Rose has to be the better prospect at this point. He has the chance to be the best pg in the league. I think their potential best season could be like this:
Blake griffin- 24ppg, 12rpg, 2apg, .8spg, and 1.8bpg.
Derrick Rose- 22ppg, 6rpg, 11apg, 1.5spg, and .7bpgBlake Griffin is not a Kevin Garnett or Tim Duncan so I see him as a really good player but hard to win around him. While Rose could carry a team to a championship with the right role players around him.

Meditated StatesParticipantI like Griffin a lot, but I have to go with Rose his impact made that team a playoff problem. I don’t think the clips will be that next year. I do expect 26points and 13 boards out of Griffin when he is peaking. I feel the point guard contols the game though. They get the big man the ball. I would be happy with either guy to be honest they are both worthy number one picks, I am certain on that.

NYKnicksuperFanParticipantHe has the ball in his hand at all times and guards are less injury prone and Blake although hes great hasnt played an NBA game yet but rose is proven

Dabba23ParticipantThe fact that you called Rose “more of a scorer than a distributor” shows how little you know about him and that you probably haven’t seen him play much. Rose is pretty much the epitome of unselfishness and having a true PG mentality.

HaleParticipantThis is ridiculous. Rose has shown what he can do and he is already a very very good NBA player, Griffin hasn’t played 2 minutes. What if he doesn’t turn out? We get it that you got Griffin, but stop making astoundingly dumb comparisons. Wait until he has play an actual game, (not preseason or summer). Wow.

Scott42444ParticipantRose will, although I get worried that his numbers will get overshadowed when in a couple of years there will be a “freakish athlete”, “ultra-explosive first step”, type of point guard on every team. Also, if either one of these two guys, Rose and Griffin, had a knee injury Rose would suffer a much higher drop off in production. That being said, I feel like Griffin could be on a team (and probably will with the Clips) that is a bottom feeder in the league. I don’t think that a team led by Rose will ever be one of the worst in the league. I think that he makes people that much better. Also, he just seems like one of those guys who will change his game as he gets older, like MJ with the late career fadeaway (unguardable, right Kobe?) to suit his aging body. That being said, why don’t the Clips just trade #1 to the Bulls and we can put this debate to rest.

dolla130ParticipantROSE hands down he has that “IT!!” Factor that only a few nba players have had or has the thing that sets them apart from every other player and thats heart and poise under pressure

boffacheeriosParticipantare you guys high? 31 ppg, you realize kobe or lebron don’t even average this? If people really believed evans would be THAT good, why is he not projected higher than 9? Mayo? these guys are good, but please! someone also said Griffin would get 26 and 13 in the NBA. That’s more than he averaged in college with crappy defenders. the only projection that is even slightly realistic is rose with 19 and 7 ast. Seriously, come on.

WälseParticipantlike an earlier poster said, you are so biased that its become annoying. You have zero objectivity. That said, i think it could go either way, although i think Rose has the better chance to become the best at his position. i guess it really depends on what you value more, a good big man, or a good point guard. and dwad123, Tyreke Evans at 23-5-7 is insanity…will never happen.

nthegoodlifeParticipantIs ridiculous! It all depends on how both do in there primes before we can judge. Many of you are getting on this clipper kid for his shenanigans, but remember many of you are the same ones putting Brandon Jennings & Rubio in the top ten pg’s already. My point is, why knock him for doing what so many of you others are doing too. Sure he’s wrong and out of place but you…

QHaynes123I agree with N
We know Rose can play in the league and he is a top 5 PG…..Today
Griffin will not be a top 5 PF anytime soon…..
