He could have had a decent NBA career at worst, if only all of those injuries didnt happen. I am not even saying what could have been, I just feel bad for him from human perspective and that he had to endure all those injuries and more so backlash from the media and fans. I hope this is a new chapter in his life and he finds himself again like Starbury did.

I can’t really consider Oden an NBA bust. It’s not his fault he was born with glass knees. After hearing the story of his time in Portland and how he went through depression and alcohol issues, I think it’s probably best for him to go somewhere where he can have a fresh start. He is still only 27 years old. I wish the young man nothing but the best during his time in China.

There’s nothing necessarily wrong with that, but when your team has invested a lot of time and money in you maybe you should be home resting and getting ready for rehab/physical therapy instead of blowing money looking for answers in the bottom of a bottle. From what I gathered the town had gotten tired of his not taking things seriously and openly partying all of the time.

 We have always been saying Greg is still only xx years old for several years now. I just hope he can make a go of things in China or it will convince him to move on with his life.
