European BasketballerParticipantGreek Player: Ioannis Bourousis
Position: Center
Height: 7’0″
Weight: 270
Wingspan: 7’5″
Description:
Bourousis is probably the most skilled center on the planet today. He has every single post move you can imagine, he can shoot with either hand, pass with either hand, dribble with either hand, he can play face up, low post on either box, he can play high post, he can spread the floor…….
He is definitely the most versatile offensive center anywhere in any league today. In truth, no center in the NBA can touch this guy. He’s so damn far better than even many of the best NBA centers that it is not even funny.
Dwight Howard isn’t even close to as all around good as Bourousis is.
The second he comes to NBA – he is the best center in the league. He’s better than other guys like Noah, Marc Gasol, Pekovic, Gortat, etc.
Greg Popovich said he is same as Vlade Divac, but I think he is more physical low post minded than Divac. Bourousis is an absolutely huge player and so he wants to stay in low post as much as possible (even though he has 3 point range), since he is so big and strong that no one can guard him there.
Here he is in YouTube:

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantI’m glad this is only about Greeks that should be in the NBA versus Greeks that shouldn’t be in the league because it will be a much shorter list and cycle through and never be heard from again sooner.

alingeParticipant1. He looks really out of shape and like he is in slow motion
2. In euroleague he averages 10.7 ppg and 5.6 rpg for his career. Now I have to guess that Howard, Chandler, Lopez or Marc Gasol might average double that at least. Hell even Greg Stiemsma would average that in euroleague easily.
3.If he is comparable to Vlade Divac, he is going to get fined a hideous amount with the new flopping rules.
4.A little fun fact he was once hit round the head with a chair by ex-celtic Nenad Krstic, in an international match.0- Posted on: Thu, 02/14/2013 - 2:53pm #747569
