    Greek Player:

    Theo Papaloukas

    Position: Point Forward

    Height: 6-7

    Weight: 225

    Description:

Papaloukas is one of the legends of European basketball. He is one of the best Greek players ever, and one of the best European players ever. He is a player that had great ball handling skills, great court vision, and unbelievable passing ability.

He was also a really athletic player and he was very good at defense.

For sure he should have played in the NBA. A similar player to Pablo Prigioni, but better. A similar player to Ricky Rubio, but better, and better than Rubio will ever be.

He would have been a great NBA player.

    Here he is in YouTube:

Ricky Rubio, but better, and better than Rubio will ever be.

Damn, your bias towards Greek players is on a extreme crazy level.

I’ll agree with this one. Papa Luke should’ve been in the NBA and would’ve been a good player.
    OP is still a douche.

I have to agree with this one as well. Papaloukas was Euro’s Magic Johnson. He was MVP of Euro his last yr playing for Moscow when he was about 33 before returning to Greek League.

Prigioni isn’t Spanish you moron. He’s an Italian Argentine.

And Rubio is a complete POS player compared to Papaloukas.

No basketball player in the world makes Rubio look like a POS. Just to let you know, your quest to make us respect Greek players has actually made us hate them.

    “a really athletic player” … that’s enough I want to die…

are you completly insane EB ? Papaloukas is a wonderfull player with so high bball IQ, understanding of the game, feel for the game and skills but REALLY ATHLETIC ?!!!!! Papaloukas was strong but not quick enough and not with jump & run specific ability. He was just average at the european level on that point and has always compensate this with his superior vision.

You just kill your whole point of view and lose credibility with such a statement.

Just so you understand, the nba compared to the european basketball leagues is more a different style of basketball than is a better level of basketball. True the nba players are way more talented, but the nba game which is popularized by the 1 on 1 matchups between superstars is not for everyone. Most of these greek players and other european players are brought up in a system which is a lot more team orriented. This allows for the difficulty of playing them to be compounded despite the mediocrity of those players. Sure there are a lot of sucky nba players but when you say you;ve got better, we don’t need a bit better, we need a lot better. You’re ranting and screaming for a guy who will produce a 3ppg, 2rpg statline. We have enough of those types of players. The league needs an influx of players who can PLAY. Who are off the charts. Because this super teams movement has shifted the balance of power in the leauge. You always can pretty much guess at the beginning of the year which teams will make the playoffs and which ones will advance. So you can take back you’re Papaloukas and keep him in eurobasketball. Scout some french, spanish, lithuanian, german, russian, serbian, croatian players you’ll be astonished at how some according to you would belong in the league

According to this guy, if you’re from Greece or if you are of Greek descent, you’re a solid player
