Two prospects who I liked, both haven’t really got the chance and performed how I thought they would be as a pro.

John Henson – two straight good games, looks to be performing well again today

Jeremy Lamb – After coming off two strong games of 18-7r & 21-9r, he hurt is knee. Back in the lineup today.

Any other users on here still got faith in these two, that they can have decent career’s ?

 Lamb is an alright back up SG, but the guy is probably best suited to Role player unfortuanately.

The guy got a chance to start for us when in 2014-2015 about 20 games(the injury season aka Russ Tripple double part 1)

and barely averaged 9 points a game and looked lost defensively.. Which is such a shame as he has all the tools to succeed: a Nice jumper,Length and decent speed/athletism. 

But as a bench player he can get you some good numbers just needs some consistent minutes.. 
Some used to say he looked like he wasn’t fully engaged which was the biggest knock on him..

Really hoped he gets it and does stick with the hornets as they at least seem to use him on a consistent basis. As he looked really good with UConn

 Lamb is just so inconsistent. Every once in a while he’ll show flashes of developing into a solid NBA player but then he just disappears. It’s been the same story since he came into the league.

Henson’s length is something that you just can’t teach. He has pretty good instincts, mobility, and finishes pretty well around the rim. The problem is that he is very limited offensively and just not strong enough to guard a lot of centers in the league, which makes him difficult to play sometimes. I think he’s a role player at best and I’m not sure how much of a future he will have in Milwaukee as maker can do a lot of what henson does and then some. I’m confident he will find a spot somewhere though.

I love John Henson too, but he’s stuck in the Serge Ibaka skillset. Mainly, he lives on the elbows for midrange jumpers. I don’t like it. He needs to switch it up if he wants more burn. That means learning how to be a legit pick and roll threat OR expanding his range to the 3pt line.

Henson is a terrible jump shooter. Most of his points are dunks or half hooks. In fact a consistent midrange jumper would be the first step. 

If you are a skinny big guy, you have to at least have a jumper and face-up game.

 If you think that John Henson has a serge ibaka skillset, then you’ve never seen either serge ibaka or john henson play before…

 ‘Stuck in’ was the wrong thing to say. I’ll rephrase, I believe the Bucks and Henson are content with him developing a Serge Ibaka skill set: meaning, the goal is to make him more into mid-range player. 

From the Milwaukee blogs I’ve read, this seems to be consensus opinion. In my view, this is a mistake. The focus should be making him in an effective rim roller. In the 2013-2014 season, it was calcuated that 20.8% of his shots were from P&Rs, 22.9 on post ups. I have a hard time trusting the integrity of this stat considering every time I watch Henson he scores off of wonky hook-shots, which I would assume classify as post ups….

My point is, I like Henson at the 5. I don’t see him as a four. While a mid-range game is a nice goal, I’d prefer to see him be more of a deadly rim roller after high picks, ala Clint Capela.
