TarHeelRavenParticipantJust read an article that shocked me. Gilbert Arenas is still making sickening amounts of money. He collected 22 mil this year left over from his 6 year 111 million dollar deal with the Wizards back in 2008. I couldn’t believe the Wizards gave him that much money, especially coming off major knee surgery. The fact that Arenas still could be playing in this league, perhaps not as a star but still as a solid back up if he wasn’t a complete moron bringing guns into the locker room with Javaris Crittenton. Perhaps he should donate most of that money, because he really hasn’t earned even half of it. The worst contract in the history of sports by far.

Magic JordanParticipantDon’t hate the player hate the game. Would you give that money back because some owner was stupid enough to give it to you? I know I wouldn’t. I also wouldn’t bother playing again as that is more than enough money to last a lifetime, though I am sure he isn’t the most responsible with it (Sponsoring a professional gaming team comes to mind).
Also as stupid as the Wizards were for giving it to him. How stupid were the Magic for trading for that contract?? Especially because if my memory serves me correctly they were one year removed from the finals. Possibly the worst trade ever? Compounded by the worst contract ever? This was the beginning of the Dwightmare all thanks to the mastermind that is or was Otis Smith lol.
