This is a great story. Actually good basketball journalism for a change. 

Firstly, imagine having Gary Payton as your Dad and sharing the same name. Senior would have ruled the roost with an Iron Fist and isn’t exactly known to hold his tongue. Crazier still, imagine being married to the Glove. I can only assume she’s a good listener. 

Apparently GPII doesn’t talk as much trash as his Dad and took after the mothers side. 

Now he’s going to get an NBA contract. I think teams will reach on him because he’s NBA ready…but he will reward them as a reliable role player. I predict he at least earns a 2nd contract.
