 I do want to talk about 1 player in particular but I’ve decided to make this a SMU thread because I know other names will be thrown in the mix like Mudiay.

I would like to know what are your thoughts on Fr. Keith Frazier who is the first Mickey Ds player to join this school. I was going to catch the Memphis game today to see how he stacks up but other things came up for me. 

For the record I’ve previously stated he has a Jamal Crawford shot selection but his game reminds me so much of Joe Johnson after watching him play in last year’s All-Star game. I’ve also heard that it’s known that Larry Brown does not like playing freshmen much, which leads me to think that may be a factor to why he isn’t standing out at a smaller school. If anyone who has been following SMU can you fill me in please.

 I LOVE! Keith Frazier…. he’s having his growing pains but he’s a freshman and I expect a bounce back season next year but in my opinion he has Nick Young shot selection cause Fraizer will litterally pull up and take crazy shots in high school and I’m guessing that’s a reason why Larry Brown isn’t playing him much due to his shot selection. But he can score and score in a hurry and shot break out next year when he becomes comfortable. 

But Yes Larry Brown does not like playing freshman which is also a reason but he better not have that idea next year cause Mudiay is legit and better give him alot minutes which I Expect.

 Although I can agree to the Young shot selection since you put it that way, but I still see a similar relaxed Joe Johnson approach.

 Frazier is solid and still shows a lot of potential, but hasn’t been playing that much this year, especially when all their guys are healthy.  There are a good 4-6 guys who have been a bigger part of the Mustangs’ success this year and newcomers like Markus Kennedy, Nic Moore, and Yannick Moreira (all transfers) have had a bigger impact.  This team’s got a real bright future.
