Nick YoungParticipantSome people may think this topic is a little off-topic, but I have noticed there is a severe lack of bald NBA rookies.
Some people may think: ‘Well, Swaggy P, what about players like Victor Oladipo, CJ McCollum or Shabazz Muhammed? They play in the league and do not have a lot of hair.’
To those people I would like to say that almost bold just doesn’t count. Neither does tricking people into thinking you’re bald by having a messed up hairline. I’m talking about full baldness, Kobe-style.
In my personal opinion, baldness equals greatness (unless you have a supreme sense of style, like a certain Laker). Just think about some of the greatest to ever play this game: Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Charles Barkley, Ray Allen, Big Z, sometimes Vince Carter and of course the immortal Charlie Villanueva.
However, the shaven heads are in decline, and so is the talent in the NBA. Last years draft was one of the worst drafts in recent memory, and guess how many players in that class were bald? That’s right: ZERO.
To make things worse, this years draft class also features no baldies. Basketball fans, including myself, have been hyping these guys a lot and I do not want them to dissapoint us. If we really want the 2014 draft to be the greatest ever, we must unite to send Jabari, andrew and Joel to a decent barber and force them to give up their hair. It’s the only way to save basketball!
